So far so good!! 2009 Chevy Suburban 2500 LT
So far so good! I have a 2009 Chevy Suburban 2500 LT with just a lil over 150K miles on the engine and decided to try the Valvoline High Mileage 150K Synthetic oil for my Florida Road Trip, starting from the North East Coast driving to the southwest coast of Florida.. I have to say right now this is hands down the best oil I have ever used for a high mileage engine. My Suburban has the common Chevy LS engine oil consumption problem and the agonizing Low Oil Pressure gauge reading. I also had a check engine light on that I had on for months. Before my trip I took my Surburban to my mechanic and instructed him to use this oil I purchased. Did the oil change and guess what.. After a few hundred miles of driving south towards my destination, the check engine light turned off and the oil pressure seems to be normal. Drove about 1200 miles checked the oil and I was shocked. Right now It looks to be working really well and not consuming oil the way it was before where I had to constantly monitor and add Valvoline Synthetic 5w30 oil. Will be using this from now on with 3K oil Change intervals…

Valvoline Extended Protection: The Ultimate Choice for High Mileage Engines
I recently switched to Valvoline Extended Protection High Mileage with Ultra MaxLife Technology 5W-30 Full Synthetic motor oil for my aging vehicle, and the results have been outstanding. This product has proven to be an excellent choice for maintaining and extending the life of high-mileage engines. First and foremost, the formulation of this oil is specifically designed for high-mileage vehicles, which means it includes unique additives that help reduce wear and tear on critical engine components. Since making the switch, I've noticed a significant improvement in the performance and smoothness of my car. The engine runs quieter, and I feel more confident knowing that this oil is providing superior protection against sludge and deposits. Another impressive aspect is the Ultra MaxLife Technology. This advanced formula helps condition seals to prevent leaks, which is a common issue in older engines. Since using this oil, I haven't experienced any oil leaks, which is a huge relief. The 5W-30 viscosity grade works perfectly for a wide range of temperatures, ensuring reliable startup even in cold weather. This has been particularly beneficial during the winter months, as my car starts effortlessly every time. Overall, Valvoline Extended Protection High Mileage with Ultra MaxLife Technology 5W-30 Full Synthetic motor oil has exceeded my expectations. It's a premium product that delivers on its promises, providing enhanced protection, improved performance, and peace of mind for high-mileage vehicle owners. I highly recommend this oil to anyone looking to keep their older engines running like new.

The Excellence of Motion Preserved
In the pursuit of the ideal, where reason governs and the forms of all things aspire to perfection, the Valvoline Full Synthetic High Mileage with MaxLife Technology 5W-30 Motor Oil presents itself as a manifestation of virtue within the mechanical realm. It is not merely oil, but a substance designed with foresight, sustaining the engine as the soul sustains the body. The viscosity is measured, neither excessive nor deficient, allowing parts to move in harmonious accord, reducing friction and preserving integrity. One observes that engines treated with this oil respond with steadiness and endurance, as if guided by a rational principle, minimizing wear and extending life in a manner that reflects the pursuit of the Good. I grant it five stars, for it exemplifies a balance between strength and refinement, a practical embodiment of foresight, wisdom, and care—ensuring that motion, that vital energy, continues undisturbed, much as a well-ordered soul achieves its fullest expression through the contemplation of virtue.

Noisy KIA fix !!!
I have a Kia Sorento V6 that has become noisy and rough idling since it passed 85,000 miles, now at 100k miles. It quiets and smooths out a bit after it reaches normal operating temperature, but it still worries me that something inside the engine is going to break or is in the process of breaking. I tried a moly oil treatment about 3 months ago, but since the car burns oil (it's a GDI Lambda II motor), the additive burns up with the oil, so it's a temporary, expensive fix. This oil has the Molybdenum additive built in to the oil, so the high mileage additive THAT BONDS WITH THE METAL PARTS inside the engine STAYS inside the engine even if it burns oil. When I top it off after it burns some oil, I am adding more additive so the percentage of protective Molybdenum additive stays the same, protecting the engine and making it run more smoothly/quietly ALL the time - cold or warm. I've always thought that the Moly additive was some sort of "magic" chemical, but Molybdenum is an ELEMENT, a metal, like zinc, which is also added to high mileage oil, and it sticks to the rough places on the engine's metal parts and reduces friction, which makes the engine run more smoothly and quietly all the time. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER OIL. THANK YOU VAVOLINE. PS I took this oil and my Wix brand filter to the Valvoline oil place where I usually have my oil changed, and they changed the oil and filter for only $50 labor. Their usual oil change for my car is about $140 for synthetic oil, so $60 for my oil and filter plus their $50 labor, $110, is $30 less than I used to pay for their regular high-mileage oil - a bargain !!
