Works awesome and isn’t a piece of junk!
Easy to use, finish looks nice and matches perfectly, and doesn’t leak water down the drain when closed. My boyfriend said it was easy to install and made better than any of the drains we’ve seen or bought at Lowe’s or Home Depot. I love that you just use your toes to push it down to close it and to pop it back up. You don’t have to twist and push to get the perfect alignment to have the drain pop back open like most models. When it’s open for a shower, the seal allows for normal draining so there’s not an accumulation of water in the bottom of the tub (problem with other models). It does make a loud click noise when you open and close it, but that’s not a deal breaker for me; especially considering it’s awesome in every other way.

Like new replacement
My old plug was gone after a few years. Finally replaced it by using a hair dryer and the husky drain plug remover since the xbar was gone. Was easy to remove. I measured the hole closer to 2 inches but was wrong as the adapter was a perfect fit. I used putty instead of the rubber washer and it was an easy fit. To install I remove the "push" metal cap and unscrewed it. Then used plyers to make a tight turn and cleaned up the putty. Then screwed in the push attachment. No leaks, looks good.

High quality but no instructions
This is a quality product and if you have the tool and experience replacing these things you’ll be fine as instructions are not included. If you haven’t replaced these before check out a YouTube video to see the special tool required for installation. I’ve gotten in the habit of replacing these yearly as it’s much easier to do if the mineralization and corrosion are not severe.

Super easy to install and looks great
I ordered this to replace the original drain assembly that came with my bathtub but for some reason had never been installed properly. Installation of this drain couldn't have been easier: Screw out the old drain, remove the old putty and screw this one in. Easy peasy. I used putty instead of the gasket that came with the drain, because it was a bit too thick for my tub and didn't allow the drain to screw in flush with the tub. It's quite possible that the gasket works fine for other types of tubs. The only reason I'm not giving this drain 5 stars is the fact that while the main part of the drain is solid metal, the top part (the cap that says "PUSH" that you tap with your toe) is made of shiny plastic and not metal. To be honest, it's pretty hard to tell while standing up. But it seems to me that not having the entire thing be metal is a missed opportunity. I have no way of knowing how long the plastic part will stay shiny, whereas I believe a metal one would have lasted a good long time. (Who knows, maybe the plastic one will, too.) At any rate, it's a small issue and doesn't really affect my opinion of the drain as a whole. I just wish I'd know how easy it is two swap out a tub drain a long time ago.

So Easy! And Such An Upgrade!
Why didn’t anyone tell me to replace my tub drain before?! If I had known how easy it was to swap these things out (once you buy the drain removal tool) I would have made all my drains popup drains long ago! I’m a busy mom so I assumed Id have to delegate this task to my husband. Nope. I watched a 2 minute video on how to do it. (The secret is to spray WD-40 on the old drain and leave it for 15 minutes to get out the old one.) In under 5 minutes, I was able to toss my nasty 25 year old drain and had this shiny fancy drain that the kids can easily open and close by themselves. Obviously, I immediately ordered two more of these popup drains for my other two bathrooms, and I’m telling all my friends to replace their drains.

Quality Drain but Cheapo Stopper
The drain itself is quality and made out of brass which is the material you want a drain to be made of…but the stopper is super cheap plastic. The drain was installed about 2 weeks ago and the stopper cap is already in beginning stages of turning gray! They need to fix this at the factory. Shouldn’t happen… They sell a replacement stopper on Amazon… I bought it and just changed the cap out and have had no problems with it discoloring!

Works Great. Better than the original.
My threading was a bit askew, so it took several attempts to screw this down. Once in place, it works like a charm.
