Really interesting read, great perspective on parenting, also a fairly unbiased read too. The information provided is also pretty accurate, (For the UK, and generally for all children). I like the way it's written too, from a first hand experience, plenty of varying information, she's very clear at stating what worked for her, and it might not work for everyone/every situation. Great guide for any parent to be, or child carer.

Great, practicle guide for new mums! Covers every important aspect of the life of a newborn. Exactly what I was looking for.

Very nice read for a first time mum. Some good tips and info. Good to know that holly went through the same things and she tells many personal situations. The phrases are written how she would say things so you know she had a good hand in the content. Thick good size book too

Soooooo, I bought this book for my lovely soon-to-be-a-mum friend! Who absoloutly loves it. No doubts my friend status has peaked since giving her this gift. Happy Baby is easy to read, down to earth and friendly. Yup, "friendly" - no pretension, no fancy-shmancy intimidating text. Instead it's handy, practical and very ( very) friendly and authentic...plus gorgeous baby pictures which have left me somewhat broody... ( me next! ).

This book has a pretty cover. That's it! The content doesn't give you what you need as a new mom. Some part is copied from other successful baby books, such as Gina Ford's The New Contented Little Baby Book. But this one is dangerous because it doesn't give you an explanation about different scenarios. Sending this book back! The author seems like a child herself. Can't trust her experience!

excellent book, easy to read and very informative

After reading a multitude of baby books, this was in my opinion the best!! You can’t beat advice from a fellow mummy. Holly speaks logic, with parenting advice and suggestions that simply made sense. It was fantastic! It will help you when times are hard, prepare your for the highs and low and most importantly, never makes you feel like a failure. Parenting is hard, having a book written by a mother who understands that will motivate you through the lows and remind you that rough patches pass. I couldn’t recommend this Book enough!

I thought it was a good book to read as part of a pregnancy/parenting curriculum but personally I found that “First Time Parents” by Lucy Atkins was easier to read, funnier and full of much more useful and practical information. I felt like in this book, the author wanted to give advice without really getting too involved, a bit like “here is what would work in this situation but hey, do what you want”, which of course is good because she’s not imposing her point of view, but I thought it made the advice given lose some weight/ importance if that makes sense, and given that I bought the book to get some solid advice, it felt like a bit of a waste of time to tell me to potentially not listen to said advice if I didn’t want to. All in all it was good, but there is much better out there in my opinion.

Absolutely loved this book! I've ordered copies for all my expecting friends and family. Great gift. It's a very helpful baby bible for expecting/new Mums or Dads! Holly offers invaluable tips and honest advice like your best mates talking you through! I did many antenatal classes and there's lots of things they don't tell you!! Holly covers it all. Honest and upfront. I read so many books while pregnant and they were all dull and black and white. I love how this book is so colourful and fun. Holly encourages confidence during this very exciting journey of motherhood which can be very daunting at times. I have a 4 month old daughter and can completely relate to Holly's breastfeeding complications with her 3rd child. I really wanted to breastfeed but it unfortunately didn't work out and had to express. It's reassuring to hear Holly's experiences first hand and that we are not alone on this Motherhood journey. I've ear marked many pages and refer back to this book. Very helpful! Well done Holly!
