not thick at all, more like 2 sheets together rather than a blanket, and, just so you are clear, you are purchasing one, not the stack as shown…i love mine though because it is so pretty and i use it as a throw at the foot of my bed in my boho chic bedroom…hope this helps

Q: some reviews said they had a bad odor…did you find that to be true? im hoping it was one and done!

Mine did have a slight odor upon opening. I soaked them in the washer with a double dose of fabric softener for about a half hour, then hung them outside on the line to dry. They dried in about an hour, and the odor was gone.

Q: Can these be washed in the washing machine?

I have washed on delicate cycle cold water and dried in dryer on low setting for about 35-40 min came out beautifully . I have two of the silk ones and one of the cotton and just got one for a shower gift they are holding up very well in my busy household 1 dog boxer i cat and a very active 7 year old granddaughter hope this helps !!
