I expected good quality from Lehman's, but this grinder exceeded that. If you are in doubt this unit is top of the line. Easy to grind even without the extension handle. The grinding wheels and adjustment are very high quality.

The media could not be loaded. Takes about three passes to get flour. One very course pass to crack the grain, one to break it into smaller parts, and a third long one to get flour. Make sure to start on course setting and SLOWLY work towards fine. If it's hard to turn the wheel, back out the dial by the plates a few clicks.I milled about three pounds of flour by hand before motorizing it. Each pound took around an hour and was definitely a workout, but it worked!

We looked for a long time before our purchase. Cheaper brands received complaints of metal shavings in their grains after running them through the mill. This worked well on our 1st try with red wheat, although we did have to run it though a few times. Just glad it works, and can tell it's heavy duty unlike the others we saw. We hope to use it for several years. I chose this over electric because of the times and seasons we are living in.

I like the ease in turning the large wheel. I ran my floor through 3 times and am very happy with the results. My only complaint is that the instructions assembly are vague.

Shipping assembled and covered in flower powder even though User manual stats first step is to get all the parts and assemble. The little spring they use as an auger had heavy damage on both ends and the grinding plates don’t even come close to touching even when the nut is as tight as it can go, wheat berries just fall right out.

no faster with a motor than by hand. Bought this tor crack wheat for animal feed, it is very slow about 4 gallons per hour just cracking the grain. Bought da direct drive model with a little larger diameter it will crack grain at about a gallon a minute.

Welp, it doesn’t do what we thought it would and has a flaw somewhere. Of course, there are zero videos available to show a detailed assembly. Oh well, off to the next brand. Sturdy tho! Don’t buy this!
