Bosch 00647920 Genuine OEM Drain Pump Filter for Bosch Washers

This fit WAW285H2UC/20 I tried to turn / unscrew the original one. It only turned about a quarter way. Checked the manual they don’t say unscrew just turn counter clock wise. Figured that something was stuck in it. Ordered a new one. Checked the web saw a service video that shows taking the whole front off. Which means unstacking the dryer and digging in. A wrench wouldn’t move past the locked up point. I was stuck. I was able to lightly... LIGHTLY drill the center out around the Handle to unscrew. My plan was to push up the obstruction and unscrew. The drain plug just shattered and unscrewed on its own. We found a small amount of junk in there and a hair pin which was holding the plug in. Didn’t take Long to get this done. Have down for run off water.

I couldn’t turn the cap all the way, drilled a hole in the middle to find some buildup causing the cap to not open. Took out the build up ordered this cap, came next day and fit like a glove. Cheap and simple couldn’t be happier.

I ordered this because the previous one was stuck. My husband had to forcefully remove it using a wrench. Once out we cleaned everything out- coins, hair pins, paper clips, etc. This replacement fit perfectly. Now we’re able to remove it with reasonable effort to keep it clean. Highly recommend!

Product claim to be an original bosch replacement part. It was not the same quality plastic, the same color (as the original or as depicted on Amazon) & did not come with the same quality gasket as the original part. The part as it was sent to me leaked, but I swapped out the original gasket for the lesser quality one the part came with and now it works.

Back to washing clothes in no time. Price was good and fit machine. Part as described.

This part is not compatible with Bosch Washers WAT28400UC/24. After a lengthy session of searching on Bosch's website and working with their customer service, we determined this was the part number (647920 ) that was meant for my unit.At a glance the parts look very similar but the grip on the original unit is ridged while this part is smooth and the rubber sealing does not appear to be identical to the original. Furthermore, the part could not be completely screwed into the upright position.
