If you genuinely have a sensory issue with hearing this might just help you!
Ok, so I just figured out a couple of days ago that I am what they call a "high-masking" autistic at the age of 31, and since I can't afford the several thousand dollars to go get it made "official", I've been looking for ways to accommodate my sensory issues I've been forcing myself to ignore for all these years. These were recommended by an autistic youtube creator so I thought I would give them a try. Now when I say I don't remember the last time my jaw and shoulders weren't clenched to the point where I couldn't turn my head, I mean it. I've had a permanent tension headache for over a year now from my constant subconscious clenching but I could never ever force myself to relax without putting ALL my mental energy into it.SO I got these this morning and have been wearing them almost all day (they recommend wearing it as much as possible in the first 24 hours), and even though I can't tell the biggest difference in the sound itself, ho boy my brain sure can tell. I can still hear everything just fine, but it's like someone turned off a HUGE amount of the background stress I'm always feeling. My shoulders are relaxing on their own, and now I know it's because I've basically been in sensory overload for years... if you suspect you might be autistic or you know you have sensory issues, this could be a huge help for you! Obviously it won't work for everyone, so it's kind of frustrating that so many people are giving such negative reviews when it clearly just didn't work for them. I'm going to be buying more pairs as soon as I can and I plan to try their newer model too. Thank you, Flare for making products like this. I can tell my quality of life is going to be so much better now that I can cut down the background noise. :)

Good for Migraines and Anxiety
It takes a little getting used to and can be hard to tell the difference from before you wore them until you really test them. Follow the instructions for how to wear them and wear them as much as you can in the first 24 hours so you get used to the feeling of something in your ears. It doesn't cancel out noise, but softens it like the ads say. You can hear everything and it sounds normal. I have it for anxiety and headaches. These help keep the noises around me from overstimulating me. The cord means I don't have to worry about losing them when I take them out. The little carrying bag is helpful too.

Ineffective for noise reduction.
They are ineffective against reducing noise. I bought these and loop engage at the same time to take on a vacation. I love the loop. Save your money on these Calmer from Flare Audio. They were a waste of money.

They help a bit, but not much, and I don’t like the lanyard
The media could not be loaded. The ear pieces themselves are comfortable, and reduce some of the irritating “shushiness” (hissing) of environmental noise. At least that’s what it seems like. I’m not sure whether they really do that or I’m just believing the company’s marketing (placebo effect). The integrated lanyard doesn’t work for me because the silicone sticks to my skin and clothes, bothering me and sometimes pulling the ear pieces out of my ears. Another thing that bothers me with the clear silicone is I can’t see the R and L on the earpieces unless I hold them up to a bright light and peer at them very carefully. One last thing that bothers me is that fibers from the black mesh case stick to the silicone, and my perfectionism doesn’t like that.

Legitimate misophonia or hyperocclussion sufferers will find relief
I have legitimate sensory processing issues, and have suffered for years using regular ear plugs to combat the pysiological responses, but then cannot hear people speaking to me and it sounds like im underwater and there is rumbling and all of this. I gave these a try and HOLY SMOKES. I can see if you did not actually have sensory processing disorder, misophonia or hyperocclussion, you would think that these are not doing anything at all but they actually are. I wore them last night and its the first time in YEARS that i have not had a majior stress out event doing after school and dinner prep and homework fights, tv and video game noises, husband whistling sending me into a tailspin, is loud voice causing me to physically recoil and all this. Normally, I cannot and do not sit with my family to eat because they do not have any consideration to close thier mouths properly when they eat and I end up stressing the F out and biting my lips trying to eat, stomach upset, cannot handle all of that. Although I love my youngest son, his shrill high pitched whiny five year old voice, as cute as its supposed to be, sends me into literal fits of rage. It is stressful and i have to work really hard to combat the responses. Not now!! This is hands down worth every penny if you have actual sensory processing. I didn't notice the major difference until i took one out after a few hours. Everything is just quieted down. I was able to make dinner, listen to the whiny voice for hours, not be annoyed by the video game noises, the whistling and mouth noises coming from my husband, and was able actually sit with my family while eating, and not have a panic attack requiring me to take prescription meds to get through the evening. I legitimately did feel a sense for more calm and less stress wearing these and I will be wearing them every day at least during my high stress, High noise times. These are a god send in my opinion for those who truly suffer with sensory processing. If you are looking for regular noise cancelling, or cutting noise completely these are not for you. If you do not have actual sensory processing or hyperocclusion, or misophonia, you likely will not notice such a difference, but if you do, i highly recommend giving these a try.

Priced way too high and nonfunctional
I wanted to use these to just take the edge off daily noises. My teen can’t stand the sound of chewing/swallowing and these were supposed to help, but do nothing. I tried them to help with how overwhelming it can sound around dinner time with pots simmering, dog’s nails on the floor, dishwasher running, etc. I found no difference. These are also poorly made so I’m sure with frequent use they would fall apart. For the price I was exceptionally disappointed.
