Good product

I'm not sure what is the purpose of this protein powder but I'm sure that it has a Rich flavor and really delicious

I use this to add some calcium and Vitamin D to my diet. The product is pricey. The vanilla flavor does not have as much calcium and Vitamin D as the strawberry flavor.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love the flavor of this product.

I wanted to lose weight and reduce my cholesterol, so I decided to use a protein shake in an effort to reduce my total calorie intake. I bought this product because I am lactose intolerant and can't take the whey protein shakes. As protein shakes go, this isn't too bad. As others mentioned, it has a slight chalky flavor. I've tried both the chocolate and the strawberry, and the strawberry has less of a chalky flavor than the chocolate. I would definitely add the powder to the water - rather than add water to the powder - to reduce clumping. Shaking or blending is best. I agree with another reviewer that it isn't very filling, but 1 serving is only 150 calories. I would also mention that if you try to truly replace your meal with the shake (no other food), then you will find yourself in the bathroom a lot until your next meal. I find that eating a little bit of something else with it that has around 100 calories helps the feeling of fullness and prevents the frequent trips to the bathroom. Overall, the product does what it says, but as with most diet products, the flavor is not as good as its non-diet equivalent.

I have been using Total Soy for close to 3 yrs now, but had only ever had the vanilla (ick!) and the chocolate. These are great for anyone who is lactose intolerant, or needs to keep something non-perishable at the office for a quick meal fix. My staple for the time had been chocolate (buy the large bag at Sam's Club) but had never been able to find the strawberry. This is a great product, and I recommend mixing with water (only 150 calories this way), rather than with milk. I use as a breakfast meal replacement EVERY weekday, and at least 1 weekend day. Flavor is superb. Highly recommend getting a shaker bottle (pretty inexpensive to buy) so it mixes more smoothly...add a few cubes of ice, Total Soy powder, and water then shake away. This reminds of an ice cream strawberry shake and is quite tasty. Highly recommend!
