I am not gonna lie....I LOVED my old Snuggie Plush! I loved it so much that I thought I’d try the newest version, which everyone is raving about. Well, here is an honest review, from someone who loved/loves their Snuggie Plush FAR more than is acceptable. First, the Sherpa is really soft, and the Snuggie is thick. It’s warm and a little more stylish than the original ones, so if I didn’t have anything to compare it to, I think I’d be completely happy. The issues I have with this Snuggie are as follows: 1) The outside of the Snuggie feels like faux suede...and it’s not comfortable to put my hands on. I know that sounds silly, but if I want to lay on the couch and wear my Snuggie, I shouldn’t need to find a “soft spot” to place my hands because the texture of the outside is unpleasant. 2) I know Sherpas are prone to shedding little fuzz-balls, but this is excessive. It just keeps shedding and shedding. 3) The seam where the Sherpa and the “faux suede” come together is really rough, and it’s completely unavoidable. I don’t like it....and I wish there was a way to make it softer or hide the seams. So, in a nutshell, the Snuggie is good, especially if you’ve never had the opportunity to enjoy their previous Snuggie Plush. If I could order a plush again, I would...but since the only real options are the Snuggie and the Snuggie Sherpa...I would say the Sherpa is the way to go.
