Works, but shade too lite.
Product worked as advertised. Blocks a good amount of Sun's heat, but I got the wrong shade. If you compare this to car window tint, this "medium" is more like a very lite shade. I only got this one because it said 'medium', thinking it would compare to the car window tint "medium". Knowing this and since I would like more light to be blocked I will be going with a darker shade. I guess one labeled "dark 15%". The picture shows the tint on the top windows & the bottom with non.

Newbie experience - not too bad
I recently moved to a new house in Texas where heat is an issue. My bedroom windows face east so the morning can get pretty hot, and as the thermostat is not in the bedroom, even though my AC is set to a comfortable temp, my bedroom still heats up.I started looking for options to reduce the heat and came across several brands of film. I decided to go with BDF based on their training videos, as I had never done this before and was a bit intimidated by the installation process. I also compared the efficiency that different brands claim for heat reduction, and all seemed similar.Installation process:As a newbie, I felt that the first window that I treated took me a while to get right. I messed up while removing the backing but was able to salvage the film. As I progressed, I noticed how my skill was getting better and that I had. If you are new to this process, it's almost certain that you'll mess up the first (and maybe second) installation, but once you get the hang of it, you'll get comfortable and efficient.I have a couple of room thermometers, and I did see a difference in my bedroom of around 5 degrees, so, for me, this product worked great.Note: while I was doing research, I read complaints about how you might leave bubbles between the window and film. This does happen a little bit, but as time passes and heat evaporates the remaining liquid, the bubbles disappear. Also, the squeegee tool that comes with the film is excellent, as it has a hard edge for corners, and a cloth edge to have a smooth sliding experience without damaging the film. Now I can't even tell the film is there.I will buy more film to apply to the rest of my house.

Not much privacy, but reduced temperature
I purchased this film to provide privacy from a stalker outside my home. I am aware that the film is geared more towards providing protection from uv rays and not in providing full privacy. However, I noticed a huge difference in privacy on film that was installed on windows on the 3rd floor as opposed to the 2nd floor. (See outside photos of home). You can see that the blinds on the left side of house are more visible than blinds on right side of house where the film was installed on all windows. Not sure if it’s due to the angle of the higher windows, but film on the 3rd floor provided more privacy than film installed on windows on the 2nd floor. The film did provide noticeable temperature reduction from the mid day sun. (See photos for reduction in sun glare on floor in the kitchen. Photos were taken at same time a day, two days apart after installation). I don’t have an infrared thermometer, but I do notice less intense sun glare and overall temperature. I purchased the S35 film.

Very Happy!
This product does exactly what it say it does. Do your research though. It relies on light on the mirror side and dark(er) on the window side. So at night it won't work. We just didn't want to lose our view during the day to obtain privacy and have no problem pulling curtains at night. It's easy to install once you get the hang of it. Start with small windows and watch YouTube videos before trying. It comes with everything you need for install except a squirt bottle. I bought the Gia install kit just in case and found it to not be as good as what this came with. In the photo the bottom Windows have the film installed. Big difference!

I'll definitely choose a darker color next time.
A lot lighter than I expected... Not really reflective at all, I was able to see the blinds on the other side when viewing from the outside with direct sun shining on the window. It still brings the temps down quite a bit though. I was only able to get a window and 2/3 of another out of one 24" x 12' roll, which is entirely my fault for not ordering a longer roll. The tools that come with it are just fine; the knife is fairly sharp and the little credit card-sized squeegee has one end covered in felt.I've already ordered another darker and longer roll.

Works well once it's finally installed
The product works well when and if you can get it installed. It's so thin that it's very difficult to manage it, even when following the directions carefully. Cleaning the window completely is essential. Miss a tiny piece of dust and you have problems. Getting the bubbles out is not easy. I think it might work better if the film were thicker and less delicate.Overall, I'm happy with the results. It effectively blocks the majority of heat from the sun and provides much more daytime privacy. Once it's installed the end result is impressive.

Great product
I love this product. It really reflects the heat that you can feel. I wasn't looking for a product that was so much like window tinting and making it so dark you can't even see outside but, rather for keeping the summer sun and heat out. Product also says it help keep it warm inside. I'll write another review if it truly does all that it claims here in Colorado. So far so good.

Holding up good and looks good
My sunroom windows look good. Just enough shade to block a decent amount of heat but not block to much light. If you have never tinted before it can be frustrating. With a little patience and practice anyone can do it. Do not apply when the window is in direct sunlight
