Really good price for this little lamp as there seem to be different prices for sale for the same item. If you get it cheap, it's cute and does the job. Needs 3 aa batteries

Before reading the rest of the review, please know that the guide video showing that you can change the light's modes by smacking it is really inaccurate. Smacking it doesn't always work and it always feels kind of 'mean' to such a cute light. However, I found that lifting the light up an inch or two and dropping it down reliably changes the modes every time. You can also just tap the underside of the light, and that works just as well.What's great about it: I've been wanting to get a night light for a while now and this little cat is so cute! It's the perfect size (around 6 inches tall, 4 inches wide) and I love the colour changing function.Some potential improvements: it feels a bit too bright and hurts my eyes a little, but it's ok if I put it on the other side of the room or somewhere where the glow is softer. It does mean I can't see the cute face though.Other notes: I haven't had a chance to test the battery function yet as I just got it today, so I put 5 stars by default but the battery life could suck for all I know. The one I got is rechargeable, not battery-powered, but I'm talking about how long it works before I have to recharge it.
