Mineral Face Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin SPF 30, 2 Ounces - Moisturizing Unscented Sunscreen for Face - Broad Spectrum with Clear Zinc Oxide - Vegan

The sunscreen I’ve been looking for my whole life. I am 43 years old and have historically avoided putting sunscreen on my face because literally every single sunscreen I’ve ever tried breaks me out. I don’t like putting chemicals in or on my body, so traditional sunscreens were already a no go for me. My dermatologist said that I need to get better about suncare on my face because of my rosacea and broken capillaries, so I decided to give this sunscreen a chance. I am blown away. Not only does it not break me out, but it feels like a nice moisturizing lotion on my face. It’s not too heavy to wear during the summer and does great under my make up. I’ve been wearing it for about a month now and haven’t got a single sunburn, although I also have taken to wearing hats and visors when I’m in direct sun so I’m sure that helps as well. I like this sunscreen so much that I wear it as my daily moisturizer, even if I’m going to be indoors or if it’s cloudy. That speaks volumes for someone who always refused to put sunscreen on her face in the past! I hope they never stop making this. This stuff is awesome and even though the bottle is not very big, it seems they will last a long time.

I've been trying to switch from chemical to mineral sunscreen for my face, but it's been difficult since I have sensitive combination skin. I've tried multiple mineral sunscreens for my face, and this is one I like the best! It spreads in MUCH easier than the other ones, there is little to no white cast, it's lightweight, no strong scent, and great for sensitive skin since it's fragrance-free (be sure to choose the SENSITIVE SKIN bottle with the blue lettering). I wouldn't say it's super moisturizing, but I apply my primary moisturizer first and then this sunscreen over it - and it works just fine! I do apply it before I run as well, and I wonder if any of it sweats off. The label doesn't say that it's water-resistant, and I know mineral sunscreens tend not to hold up as well with sweat/water as chemical suncreens... but I guess we'll see as I continue to use it. So far, so great!

It absorbs very quickly, no white cast, not greasy. I love the high percentage of zinc oxide and the company’s mission statement. The detractors are a strange smell when applying and a lack of tint, which would’ve made this a competitor.

First of all, wearing sunscreen is usually horrible for me. The texture, the grease, the gross feeling that most sunscreens give me is difficult to overcome when you are mentally sensitive to things like this. And so I have always been on the lookout for something I can actually stand to wear. PLUS, I have sensitive skin and get oily in my Tzone with some dryness on my cheeks & underneath eyes. And I prefer mineral over chemical because I hate when my eyes sting & I prefer to use cleaner ingredients. Thrive sensitive version SPF is it for me. Somehow, it feels moisturizing without being greasy (I am always skeptical when people say this because I automatically think that means grease, but this just feels hydrating and sinks in without being oily at all for me). I can put this under my eyes and they feel great, soothed. No white cast for me and I'm medium skin-toned, slightly olive complexion. Makeup looks beautiful over it. I even put this on one day only because I had an allergic reaction to something & my face was bright red, inflamed, & itchy. This soothed it so much, I had most of my redness gone in a few hours.

I wanted to love this because it is so natural, fragrance & chemical free (I got the sensitive skin one). I have researched plenty of spfs & they say they’re chemical free and they’re really not or they’re natural/mineral spfs yet full of oils and scents. This one only has sunflower oil, which I was hesitant about but it had far less ingredients than most. I tried it when I went to the pool, my face didn’t burn but I broke out with small red pimples all around my face. This was the only product that was new in my regimen and it wasn’t like hormonal acne because it was scattered all around my face. Also I was surprised how small the bottle is for the price. The search continues..if you don’t have sensitive skin like me then I think you’ll love this, there is no white cast. Make sure skin is hydrated well enough before putting on to avoid peeling.

Let me preface with I never use sunscreen. At 47 decided to give it a try because of the mineral aspect and sensitive skin (didn’t want to overwhelm my skin) I’ve worn this a few times as my daily sunscreen… let me say it’s a great product. No greasy leftovers, not white residue, clean light feel, and stays throughout the day. Keep in mind I have not spend enough time outside to see how it does in a sweaty situation. So far I love it and highly recommend it for a more natural approach to skin care! ❤️

Maybe I expected too much of a mineral sunblock but this stuff makes my skin feel chalky but greasy at the same time, smells terrible, and is impossible to wash off at the end of the day. I have double cleansed but my skin still feels chalky and I can smell the sunblock. For this price I expected something a lot nicer.

I used this on a trip to Lake Powell and everyone who used it kept saying how much they liked the sunscreen. We all thought it went on so smooth, felt expensive, and didn't leave a white cast on our face.
