Be assured of the BLISS reading this book.
The best thing about the book is that it brings back the school days and immerse you in nostalgia. The book walks 🚶 you down the memory lane effortlessly 😉.Everyone will connect to scenes that happened in their school days. I happened to be the mate (B.K 🤷) of RAMBO, witnessed most of the scenes live when they happened. I felt the scenes are narrated with so much life that it forces you to live the moment and cherish it like it is happening right in front of you. I have to admit that I enjoyed the scenes more while reading than being a part of the story realtime 👻.Each and every day at Sainik School was eventfull. The author strikes the right balance in not going overdose. This helps to be in connect with the storyline and characters and more importantly blissful reading.Every student at Sainik School had their own thread running across the 7 years of schooling with their close mates and events that happen around them. This thread from RAMBO covers one of the main aspect which is relationships 🫂 and mindset with the help of us GLADIATORS🦸 a bunch of fighters🤼. I hope and am waiting to see many more threads penned down.Thank you RAMBO for the BLISSful nostalgia. Waiting for the next editions 😊

Relive your school days. Make mistakes, Live Life!
Sainik Schools in India were set up with the intention of attracting young and bright minds and nurturing them from early on to make them into Officers and create men of courage, valour and integrity. Class 6 to Class-12 are the defining years in any person's life. What we experience in this period will build our personality. It is also during this period that we build a view of the world as we see it for the rest of our lives.Rambo, captures all those emotions, instances and moments which a boy undergoes before blossoming into a Man of Character. The humour element is always kept active and the spirit of 'cadet' (as called in military jargon) high. In fact it is only in these bitter-sweet moments do we get to know ourselves, isn't it? The narration of the story and flow of events, which can be seen even in the headings of each chapter, is organic and nothing seems out place. Frankly, it is difficult for me to believe that this is the author's first book. Making the reader feel the same emotions as in the story being told is what determines the quality of an author. Ramakrishna has accomplished this task with much adeptness.Whether you were/are in Sainik School or not, in a hostel or not, I am sure we all would have faced the similar situations in our school life. Take a moment and relive those days. Go ahead and order, you wont regret it, it is my promise ! Make mistakes, Live Life!

A good refreshing read
I have always had a interest towards boarding schools since I hadn’t been to one and have seen them being represented mostly positively in popular culture. So, I was very excited to know that Rama has written a book about 7 seasons at Sainik boarding school and got a copy as soon as I could. This being his first book, I must appreciate Rama as the writing style is easy to read and flows very well. It is very sweet book it was nice to read about the school days and village life.I liked the little wisdoms sprinkled here and there, “Our thoughts are like stray dogs which chase us as long as me are scared. The moment we stand still they simply fade away”I have known the author for sometime now and his this wisdom had always been visible in his thoughts & conversations and now it’s in his book.Th e first time author gets 4 stars. I would recommend everyone to grab a copy and enjoy the story.I am sure we will be delighted with many more works which dwell even deeper into the truths we all want to know and desire. Some other worthy lines:"Never panic. Ever. Think patiently, There is no problem without solution.“Life becomes miserable to those who look at it as an obstacle and a miracle to those who look at it as an opportunity. The choice is ours.”“Hell is not another place.Here. Or there. It is inside us.If we choose to live anything other than peace. Or love.We live our hell depending on the intensity of fear that we imagine.”

Lively, mesmerizing and entertaining
RAMBO is the transition of the author from an ordinary village lad into a young, confident student. The book enthralled me into how the author and his gang of friends have taken all the hardships by their stride, converted threats into opportunities and confidently solved any problem they faced. The experiences in class 9-11 mesmerized all my family members, right from my 9 year old daughter to my 65 years old father. You relive yourself in every page and line of this book.A very lively book highly recommended for readers across all age groups and all continents.

Worth reading!!
Awesome narration though being a first time writer. Book takes the reader to a world of boarding school from the first chapter and keeps them engaged and curious for every chapter till the end. Author has definitely took some extra efforts to explain the sainik school set up, perhaps for the non saikorians like us. Good one !!

Brings the RAMBO in us to life - An epic story of every boarding school scholar!
Did you ever notice that most boarding school students evolve into great storytellers? Just read the book, and you will know why. Of course, this author has mega evolved and happens to be just brilliant at it.I'm an alumnus of the same school, and even after 30 years, those stories never get old. In fact, nothing lights up my son's face as would a little tale from those good old boarding school days. I have a feeling that most of our types would have it as a life long dream to pen down those memories and to share them with the world. But then, life doesn’t pause to give us that opportunity. That is until RAMBO comes along to our rescue.Having read the book, I have had a profound appreciation for the author, who by virtue of bleeding from his heart has filled the book with his soulful Saikorian (short for Sainik School Korukonda) tales and tirades, all so very beautifully narrated to make it an emotionally fulfilling experience.I'm very fortunate to have shared a full four years of tenure with the author at the school. I did not know him well while at the school and never had an opportunity to meet him outside. But I clearly remember him by his small frame in grade six, right around the time he joined the school, and that look on his face which suggested he knew what he was doing, and that he would own his actions and that of his classmates. And that is exactly what goes to define a true Saikorian.Nothing is more challenging in military schools than navigating the "Seniors' Rule" (meaning the seniors rule over juniors). Your survival depends on it. Yet, some (aka Gladiators in this book) are dealt tougher cards than others, and this book is a fitting tribute to them all.I've thoroughly enjoyed reading the book. It was an emotional ride for me all along. Apparently, I had a little role to play in the author's story, but not that I have any memory of. However, a lot of the characters in the book were some of the most popular ones of our time at school, and thanks to the vivid narration by the author, I was overdosed on nostalgia. It does get a bit technical in the middle chapters where some of the school jargon is thrown around to aid with the story. But if you stay on course to the end, you would have lived the boarding school life yourself, and you would have felt the RAMBO that you have always had in you. For, those trials and tribulations, fun and frivolity, and fear and grit escapes none, and in the end they connect us all into ONE. And that's the spirit of this book. Happy reading

Rejoining my school...
I am very thankful to RAMBO for bringing out this book and as a consequence of which I felt like I got readmitted to school and gone through all the seven stages again. He has uncovered some of my secrets as well to the school staff. Haha... I might have to cover my face when I revisit my school again. This books works to me as a humour tonic that I keep reusing whenever I get bored or feel like I need some spice in my life. Wish to see this book turns out to be a web series and what not... My love to RAMBO...

Been there, but not done all of that
I studied in the same Sainik School at Korukonda from 1970-77 and was able to relive my school days. The author and I were separated by about 24 years (the author was there from 1994 to 2001), but the trials and tribulations were the same. Though, of a different magnitude. The title itself caught my attention. Being in the US North East, we hear of four Seasons, but I when I saw the title of this book, it took me a few seconds to realize what it meant. The author takes you from Grade 6 to Grade 12, Season by Season - with ample anecdotes, friends, the rapport, the teen age related pranks on class mates as well as the teachers - from a naïve young lad of 11 years to active & confident young man of 18 years. Along with the puberty, the personality too changes in this stage of life and that too is amply detailed - how the Ego is born and overtakes the reason, at times. That's the age in life where a slap on the wrist is a matter of pride. Something to reminisce about in later years; and to regale with kids and grand kids, later on.Though the author is middle aged, the book had its quota of "Words of Wisdom". To list a few:Life becomes miserable to those who look at it as an obstacle and a miracle to those who look at it as an opportunity. The choice is yours.Life becomes bliss when we are in now...One act of thoughtlessness is all it takes, for a hero to become a zero. For those that didn't do the schooling there, the book could have included a few aerial pictures and lay of the land to better visualize the places and the distances. For 7 wonderful years, we lived with the author in that school and an addendum of where some of his close friends (Gladiators, as they are referred) are currently situated would have had a better closure.I greatly enjoyed reading the book (in just two sittings, which is a personal record for me, of late) and relived my years in the school.
