I'm slowly upgrading my electric sockets so that at least 1 room has a usb charging faculty.This was the clean screw free version, in that it has a face plate you put over the top.From looking at it and the marking it has all the relevent BS standards required for the UK.It's easy to install just like a standard socket. Brown/red wire to the L (Live) terminal). Blue, black wire to the N (Neutral) terminal. Green yellow, Copper wire to the Earth terminals.There is no wiring of the USB it's automatically wired within the unit.Everything is working great and it's my first USB C port so a worthwhile upgrade.Please note, the only issue with ALL these sockets is the USB are always live so don't place them low where children can poke at them, they also consume a tiny amount of electric like the red led lights on TV's.

Easy to fit providing you use a deep back box.

I had an electrician replacing some sockets to add the C USB in particular which is one of the things that seperated this product from others. The electrician. Found the rear box to be rather different to the standard ones I had in the wall. However he managed to get it in without too much hassle.They’ve worked consistently well and with no problems. They’re a reasonable and comparable price for mostUSB sockets but with the addition of the C socket.Screws are included and other than the unusual shape were easy to install.

I got 4 of these outlets to replace some standard outlets in my house where we tend to charge devices. They arrived on time and in great condition, they look nice and simple and the cosmetic faceplate covers the mounting screws completely giving the install a cleaner overall look.I have installed 3 of the 4 so far, and they all worked fine using the USB-A ports. But, when I tried to use the USB-C port in one of them the device wouldn't charge, but the others worked fine. When I checked closely the internal section in the USB plugs are actually further back in the housing that the other plugs. The USB-A has more tolerance so they work fine, but the USB-C basically can't reach all the way in to make a good connection. I then wired up the last outlet just to check it and it had the same issue. So out of 4 outlets 2 had the issue, 50% failure on my order isn't exactly great quality control as far as I'm concerned. I plan to take these 2 apart and see if I can get it realigned properly. I don't live in the UK so sending them isn't an option for me, so I'm going to see what I can do myself.Otherwise they are nice outlets and get the job done. Just be weary that the USB-C may prove problematic to charge.

This is a well constructed device although a little clunky on the unseen side and it requires a deeper box than what I think is the normal box installed in most houses. This resulted in me being unable to install it where I originally wanted. Apart from that it looks very good and so far functions well.
