Uhuru Naturals Original Hair Butters (16 oz, Kibbeh Butter)

I can’t speak well enough of the Chebe butter mix and I hope and pray the quality remains the same over time. So I added this butter as the final step in my daily hair care regimen which begins with a caffeine scalp massage and then the LOC method second. I use Chebe butter lightly and only as needed and the effects are amazing. My hair stays softer, hydrated and it is clearly stronger because I have cut down on breakage\shedding by 75%. I am not saying that my reduced breakage caused by the butter only but it has clearly been adding great benefit to my consistent daily hair care efforts. The smell is enchanting (my hubby loves it). The grittiness mentioned by others is not a concern for me as I feel it is protective of my strands, blends in with the color of my hair and the micro pellets are soft and super tiny. It helps that I know that the barely there grits are a valuable herb that will secrete benefits into my hair. With my 4c hair texture I have come to embrace unique solutions because the game to win when it comes to 4c hair is retention! 2 thumbs up for Chebe butter from a pleased customer!!

Myself and my 2 daughters have the original African hair type. I have tried so many products that I end up shoving in my bathroom cabinet because they don't deliver. I literally have a whole sink cabinet full of expensive and new hair products that keep coming on the market but dont do what theypromise. I saw an ad on Facebook about Chebe and came on Amazon to see its availability. This product is excellent for moisture, growth, beautiful shiny healthy hair. Everyone at my job keeps asking about my hair routine and I have been spreading the news according to CHEBE. Now, I hope the manufacturers never go out and I can't find it or change the current ingredients. It is an excellent product, please keep it up.

This product is to be used on damp hair and washed out every few days. I used this for a braid out and my hair stayed moisturized for at least 3 days. Ordinarily I’d have to do the braid out everyday. The only drawback for me is the smell. It is NOT pleasant.UPDATE: My hair normally sheds a LOT. When I wear my hair flat ironed I’ll have hair all over the back of my shirt. After using this product for about 2 weeks, I no longer have that issue. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the smell. Works effectively though!

I started using this product mid June.; I had issues with retaining length. When I would detangle I would have clumps of hair in my hand. I tried different methods and the chebe was exactly what I needed. At this point I have little to no breakage or shedding. When applying this ; I spray my hair with a water mixture ( tailored to my hair), I apply a leave in ( placenta de ovejo), a diy oil and the I mix the chebe with anti breakage blu magic hairfood. I know this seems like alot but I have high porosity hair and have to work hard at retaining moisture. I DO NOT put it on my scalp, only the strands. Some people have done it, I don't. Things I noticed with this regimen was of course minimal shedding and breakage. My hair has body and movement, manageable and I did notice my curl pattern changed ( became looser and more defined ) . Overall this is a great product and will be a staple in my hair regimen.

I have type 4 hair, and I have been using the Chebe butter on my hair for about a 3 1/2 week now, and so far I like it. It has a light, refreshing minty smell, and it has a greasy/grity texture (but the texture was not a surprise to me, I expected that). I use this on my hair after I detangle it, to do 2-strand twist. It helps my hair feel soft and moisturized, and I have noticed that since I started using it that I have very little hair shedding/loss.I re-do my 2-stand twist every other night before I go to bed, and use the Chebe butter in the hair, and also coat the ends of my hair well. Then I put a plastic shower cap on my head and go to bed. When I wake up in the morning, my hair is soft and a little damp but it air dries quickly (my hair is not very thick/dense).

It's very moisturizing. It has an odor so I usually put it in my hair when I know I don't have to go out. After a couple of days I wash it out. With it in when I take my braids out, my hair is so soft and manageable. If only it didn't smell, but it works so I'll keep using it. I don't go out much anyway so it works for me. Love it!

Ok…I have an update after using this for a few months. It was dealing my hair so good that it was blocking all other moisture from coming in my hair! My hair stylist asked what I was putting in the lengths of my hair as she was flat ironing it. I told her I have a new butter to seal my hair with. She said that my hair looks dull and it’s not as healthy as my roots are( I never put it in my roots) and that she can see a big difference in how my hair was looking-in a BAD way. She told me to stop using it IMMEDIATELY! It was making my hair so bad and I didn’t even notice in my own at home! I’m so glad I went to get it done when I did!PLEASE use with caution!This butter sealed my hair like no other! I’m relaxed and have low porosity hair. After wash day, I moisturize with a leave in conditioner and usually use an oil to seal. THIS left my hair soft for days!! So soft to the touch until the next wash day which was a week later. No joke. The only reason why I needed to wash was cuz I workout outside and workout everyday, but my hair still felt amazing!
