You can adjust the ft per sec velocity. It's not a racing drone, it's entry level with the ability for kids/adults to code flight plans/tasks. So, not fast, but adequate for application.

Q: is this drone stable or always drifting away?

I've had lots of mini drones that you always have to adjust the trim. My Mambo FPV is the only one that I never really have to adjust it. Just turn it on and it always works. I also have the Parrot Sling, Bebop2 and Disco and am really impressed with the connection and flights. I have DJI products like the Mavic air and Phanton 4 and they are more hassle than my Parrot drones.

Q: How do you set up the update?

You have to download to the app then connect your drone. It should prompt you to update the drone. Use the FreeFlight app.
