What is most important? It WORKS!
On any electronic device, there are really only a few critical elements. Is it the right device? Does it properly meet the needs of the connection? Does the device work? The converter that was purchased WORKS and WORKS PROPERLY. It was easily installed and has performed without any problems. There is no other considerations to ponder.

It works, not the best picture on an Apple IIC vintage computer. Converters are never going to look very good. This is a standard converter and will do no special magic to make it look very good on your HD monitor when driving it with a vintage NTSC "RCA" yellow video signal.

Works with Smart LG TV and a 20+ year old VCR.
At first, the picture was grainy but after about an hour of watching the VCR film it was perfect. I guess it had to warm up. I had not used the VCR for years either.

Genuinely surprised how well it works
for the price I expected this to be total crap but it works great and I haven't had any problems with playing my Wii or N64 on my modern tv.

Easy hookup
Newer amps don’t have RCA slots for Reel to Reel, works well to convert to HDMI.

Used it to connect a Playstation 2 to an an HDMI TV - poor quality
I purchased this to hook my Playstation 2 up to a newer TV. The quality of the connection was horrible, it was fuzzy and washed out. I purchased another connector from a different vendor and the quality on that one was far better. I would not recommend this if you care about picture quality.
