Large, gorgeous, very useful enameled cast iron pan.
I have purchased several of these and gifted them to cooks in my family and want to be cooks in my family :-). Everyone is so in love with this pan and they say they use it on a daily basis-they only wish it came with a lid. I first saw it on Michael Simmons (Iron Chef winner) food Network show where he grills dinner in his backyard. I wanted to try his Tuscan chicken recipe so I bought the pan and fell in love with both the pan and the recipe! I started buying the pan for my son, niece, etc. Great cookware in a yummy looking recipe are motivators to get people to learn to cook great food for themselves. This pan is in that category!

It's a Heavy Monster!
This is huge! I got it for frying my bacon which comes in packages with 20 slices or more. Does a great job. Heats evenly but bear in mind, it does overlap the burner so it might crimp the space of the adjoining burners. Being a Staub, it's of excellent quality. And it's very heavy. I just pretend that I'm doing my weights when I hoist it out of the cupboard onto the stove. I need to write it into my will. It will last the rest of my life.

Great skillet
I like Staub cookware a lot. This skillet is no exception. It is perfect for stove and oven cooking. The skillet is on a bigger side: A big chicken fits comfortably with some spare room for potatoes or other garnish.The heating is very even, although, attention should be paid to avoid over-browning. Cleaning is very easy both inside and outside.Overall I am very happy with this purchase. This skillet is worth every single penny I paid for it.

Everything stuck to center not sure if because I used glass top electric stove and not gas but I wanted to love it ughhh

En résumé...Très lourde, très belle, sûrement très durable .A voir dans 50 ans....Conseil primordial pour ne pas lui faire une critique non méritée, bien suivre le conseil de culottage de la poêle pour la rendre moins adhérente (aux oeufs par exemple).....

Superbe poêle très lourde
Une poêle superbe et super efficace pour qui s'en sert de façon précautionneuse.Il faut toujours commencer la chauffe lentement et monter la puissance du feu de façon progressive.Je trouve que la cuisson est plus efficace et le résultat plus savoureux.Il est certain que le prix est élevé (encore qu'il varie beaucoup suivant le coloris) mais cette poêle doit être en mesure de faire partie de son héritage si l'on s'en sert convenablement.
