Must-have for long trips with vinyl seats
No, it doesn't add support. No, it doesn't make the shape of the seat more comfortable. Think about it- you're sitting on a bunch of horizontal metal coil springs wrapped in paper and other non-soft material. So, if you're still reading, you're asking yourself "why did this guy give it five stars?" I'll tell you why- because it allows air flow. If butt sweat was the Joker, this device would be Batman. Nothing like being glued to a vinyl seat in summertime and this keeps you from getting stuck quite effectively and lets your a/c get under and behind you enough to keep you from being miserable. I get several years of use out of each one, this is a necessity for me at work. I use it year-round, it helps keep your rump thawed a little bit in winter as well by permitting warm air to circulate. It's not magic, but it beats the heck out of the discomfort of vinyl and I don't think it makes the shape of the seat any less comfortable. I wouldn't recommend using it on cloth seats because they're already breathable.

Love these, wish they didn't discontinue them.

Falls apart too soon
What I like about this cushion is that it provides cooling relief when used on my forklift. What I didn’t like is that it fell apart too soon (after a month) of use. It is not meant for a delivery person or a forklift driver who has to get in & out of their seat several times during the day. It would be more ideal for long duration of sitting time. It provided circulation & prevented ‘diaper rash’ for me so it was worth the price & I will have to make another purchase when each one wears out.

That this cushion allows for air to go through
I bought this for my friend who is in a wheelchair during the most part of his waking hours & this cushion is exactly what he wanted as it provides him with comfort he needed as well as ventilation that other cushions don’t. Additionally his back gets more support for his back he needed. The product is this far showing a good durability, is easily washable & dries immediately for continued use. I’d heartily recommend this cushion who’s looking for maximum for their money, but mostly for good comfort.

Doesn't work well for larger pick-up or SUV seats
Three stars - Works for ventilation as expected - I've gone through others over the past years picked up in auto parts stores but no one sells them anymore in stores that I could find - so of course I turned to Amazon. Why only three stars? I have a large SUV that comes with your typical pick-up/large SUV seats. Hasn't been a problem in the past, but the elastic straps on the back of this cushion are way too small/short - and, yes, there are two straps. I had to stretch them to their absolute limit to get them over the back of the seat. They are so short that the straps are deforming the back of my seat's leather to the point I may have to cut them off and have my wife replace them with longer straps (she's a seamstress so should be able to make that happen). However, these definitely only barely - and I'll stress the term 'barely' - fit a large car/truck seat - to the point that I'm expecting the straps to rip out in the near-term if I keep them in place. I suppose this could be a one-off aberration for this particular cushion I ended up with, but still an issue for me. And this is supposed to be the Standard Plus size seat cushion. So if you have a smaller car or smaller seat, then this should work well for you. If you have larger sized seats - car, truck or pick-up - then I'd suggest you find someone who can sew to replace the elastic straps. Or find something else......

Solved my problem. I love it
I use this in my wheelchair actually. It allows airflow so that I dont feel so hot and dont perspire so much. It also adds to the comfort of sitting in same position for long hours. It works great for me. Not one complaint! I might buy another for my other “nesting places”. Very sturdy and well made!

Great product!
This is the kind that actually keeps my back from overheating. It is so good, I'm thinking of ordering more in case they stop selling it. Used to be able to find them in the stores. Now online only. Thank you for this fantastic product! Note: I had in my mind to buy a 3rd one, but couldn't remember why. It was for sitting on the couch. My back is very sensative to overheating. I'll be ordering another one. Then I'll have one for each car and the couch. I'm a very happy customer!

Good comfort for long commute
I commute to work about 104 miles round trip each day in my 2016 RAV4. I live in the mid-atlantic region, where we don't have extreme weather like in the Northeast or in the Southwest, but still, it gets down to the 20s in the winter and to the 90s in the summer. This type of cushion is the best that I have found in terms of keeping comfortable, allowing air flow underneath you. This particular cushion has metal springs inside like the old fashioned ones from the 1960s, but I have used the ones with the plastic grid inside and they work just as well. I go through one of these about every two years. Eventually, the springs pop through the cheap fabric. In the case of the springs, I worry about them piercing my vinyl upholstery (what Toyota calls "SofTex"), so once the springs pop through, I replace it. Overall, I'm happy with this type of cushion - comfortable, not very expensive to replace once it gets worn through.
