Great for the price
A lot of reviews complain about the cable getting stuck / damaged underneath. If youโve ever used a corded vacuum you will know that you have to generally hold the cable. Sometimes I rest in on my shoulder. People are just too lazy or used to cordless!. Iโve had absolutely no problems with this. The vacuum is very powerful and easy to use, had no problems with weight. Also seen classic reviews of it being too heavy. Itโs really not - considering the power level. Maybe if youโre 70+ and weigh less than 50kg it would have been smarter to get a specifically lightweight vacuum before buying and complaining about the weight ? Easy to dispose of dirt. The vacuum comes with additional parts which donโt attach so will need to be kept where you store your vacuum. The lift out feature is good but takes a while to get used to, for stairs sometimes itโs just easier to move the vacuum up as you, as the hose is too short. When you pair it with the long static wand it can actually prove to be a bit annoying to operate when youโre in a hurry as thereโs isnโt much flexibility for vacuuming as step thatโs say not next to you but not more than 1/1.5m. Overall a great vacuum, say 4.5 stars. You get what you pay for - donโt expect everything to be immaculate, but it is still top tier for the price and power point. (I got it for ยฃ150 and has now been 6 months).

Worth every penny
After reading the reviews I was on the fence about this hoover but my partner said he thought it would be better than the old Dyson we had that was given to us about 5 years ago with no attachments not even a pipe. So this one arrived promptly which is always a bonus. We have 2 dogs one is a Corso and he sheds a lot! So there's always hairs everywhere! And I have wooden floors so was worried it would just push it all around. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't do this! It's amazing even on the rug we have I was amazed at how good it is. Even the small attachment I used on the sofas and it cleaned all the hair and debris that the dogs accumulate. And the small bristles that turn when you hoover is brilliant. My partner loves the fact you can lift it off to do the stairs too or the kitchen side after we drilled holes in for cabinets. Really worth the money!! As for the attachments and having no where to put them I'm planning on getting a lock box to store them neatly. And emptying the hoover is super easy too

Brilliant... but not a Shark!
I recently purchased this hoover after my Shark died. I couldn't justify the price of a new shark so looked around and found that the Vax had pretty decent reviews. Firstly, what I will say is that this hoover has amazing suction. I have kids and two dogs and it effortlessly picked up dog hair and general crumbs, etc. Assembly was simple and easy. The tools that came with it are effective and allow for a range of diffrent surfaces to be hoovered. The light at the front is handy to see any "hidden" bits and the option to clip away from the main body of the hoover is brill for stairs etc. The negatives for me are that it's pretty heavy, and doesn't self propel like the shark, which effects manoeuvrability. Something to bare in mind if you're looking for a light hoover that moves easily, this ain't it. The overall quality is alright, however the plastic feels a bit thin and flimsy in comparison to the shark. Another thing that frustrated me was the "lift away" function is a bit of a faff, nothing is one step, it's all two or three steps in order to swap, release the handle, etc , whereas the Shark is one step and your done which is preferable in my opinion. As mentioned at the beginning the suction is amazing but because you don't have the option to decrease the suction, it makes hoovering smaller mats and rugs impossible, unless you use the attachments and not the main hoover. Overall I'd say it's a pretty decent hoover for the price, with impressive suction and handy tools. However, next time I need a new hoover I think I'll be going back to the Shark for ease of use and manoeuvrability.

It Tricked Me...
The first use was absolutely amazing....but every use after, took a steep decline. It's sold as a pet hoover, this might be true if you have a hamster that doesn't roam the house and leave pet hair anywhere. I on the other hand have two huskies, this vaccum is rendered useless and an absolute waste of money. It clogs with every use and you have to take it apart every time to get mild use out of it. The container blocks up so quickly before it even reaches the "max" line and you literally have to reach into the container to retrieve any dirt, fur and debris. After a month of use it just kinda rolled up the fur on the rug and left it behind. To vaccum my small house, I genuinely need to make time for it....to strip the vaccum down to clean it out as much as possible (once even taking the 12 screws out of the container to see if there was extra blockage...there wasn't, it's just that bad) then after 10 mins going round the house, you'll need to unclog it again. Even the rollers underneath block up with each use. Not for a house with pets or people with hair. It really can't handle it. 1 million percent returning to shark. Ironically the shark vacuum I had previously was second hand and still lasted 3 years before its demise. Can't really express the disappointment in this Vax vacuum.....my wife told me to try return it after a month. I wanted to give it more time...another chance...... Yet again I was wrong and she was right.

Outstanding hoover.
I've had many brands of hoovers but this is pretty unbelievable. It's so easy to keep clean the double brush bars remove quickly and easily. It's a good height for me (I'm 5'8 some can leave me a little stooped over), it's an easily manageable weight and not overly noisy. The cord is long! The hose isn't long but if the hoover is used correctly it's perfectly sized and I have absolutely no issues. I've used this hoover for some months now and it still cleans as well as the day I unboxed it and I hoover at least twice a day (it's a busy house).

Average hoover
Hoover is alright but I've used better. Love the lights to see all those hidden bits and love how it can detach from the main. Easy to clean and suction pretty good as it's picking up the cat hairs. Dislike that mine and my girlfriend's hair gets stuck frequently around the brush. The length of the flexi pipe is far too short as the hoover falls over and hits either me or the walls within the house. The cable length is good and the weight is average. Overall does the job but certainly not amazing.

Excellent and nice colour
Purchased to replace a previous VAX, which we had for years, and this has not disappointed. The swivel head makes moving it around simple and the suction is excellent so very little need to go over the same spot twice. The light on the front does actually prove useful and the emptying and cleaning process is as simple as the last one. I will not lie, the unit is quite heavy and most of this weight is within the removable section so, whilst it is easier to use on stairs, you will still need concentrate and keep a firm grip. Overall very happy with our purchase
