I just recive this 4 pack and the expiration date is very hard to read, looks like { best by 11 rest hard to read. what is the shelf life of item

I purchased my 4 pack of peppers in August 2021. Best by date is August 2023. We store them in the fridge and they will probably be gone by that date. However these are pickled peppers and will last for years past that date. Unless you store them in a window in the sun, I wouldn’t worry.

These last about a year unopened.

How long do they stay good, since 4 jars seems like a lot?

I have had them for 5 months and still good.

what is the expiration date on these?

The fine print states to 'use by date on jar'; however, the jar does not have an expiry date. That's primarily because the pepper solution is vinegar-based and with its sugar / acidic properties, it is almost indefinite in storage. Its' similar to pickling. Though, once opened, those properties dissipate and break down, thus the need for refrigeration to preserve as long as possible. I use 6-month's in fridge as lifespan once opened. I have maintained peppers in pantry for 1 year and then opened and they were as fresh as ever.
