Soft, warm, comfortable
For the price, this is a great jacket. Very comfortable and warm and cuddly. It was a little big on me because I usually order slim fit clothes (size small) but I can very comfortably wear this over my work clothes because my work building is always cold. It looked when I first received the product that there was some pilling going on and it looked like cheap quality but that went away after the first wash and I have had no problems since. This is a thicker material, unlike a lot of thinner fleeces I have seen recently - it wears like a blanket and I consider that a good thing because it's comfy, however it won't pack down well if you want to wear it under another jacket or coat.

Columbia Men's Steens Mountain Full Zip 2.0 Fleece Jacket
This Columbia Men's Steens Mountain Full Zip 2.0 Fleece Jacket was purchased from Amazon. It has been about a month of ownership, but it is my favorite jacket. I also love the North Face TKA 100 Microvelour 1/4 Zip, which is my favorite sweater. When purchasing this jacket, a focus was on getting a soft fleece sweater or jacket with pockets. This could be the outer layer for cool weather, or a thicker mid-layer for insulating. It is used more as an outer layer, given the weather is not consistently raining to pouring.First, the fleece on this jacket is soft. Not quite as soft as the North Face TKA 100, but still very comfortable and supple. Prior to this, I had a North Face Windwall 1 jacket that was too rigid and not as comfortable, but a bit warmer than this jacket. Second, the jacket is fairly lightweight, though again not quite as light as the North Face TKA 100. Third, the jacket is warm, a little more than the North Face TKA 100, but a little less than the North Face Windwall 1. Fourth, the jacket is breathable. Fifth, the jacket does stay warm and dries quickly even with light rain. Sixth, the hand warmer pockets are nice and form inner pockets as well.In conclusion, I rate the Columbia Men's Steens Mountain Full Zip 2.0 Fleece Jacket a 4.9 out of 5.0. This jacket is kept in the office, where the air conditioning is always set really cold. The Columbia works very well, is very comfortable, is easy to put on with a full-zipper, and has cozy hand pockets. If only the North Face TKA 100 had a model with full-zip and pockets, or this Columbia Steens was as soft and thin.

Perfect fit. Exactly what I wanted
When my measurements based on the chart said I should order a small, I rechecked my measurements and the size chart. I don't think I've ever ordered a small in anything. But trusting the sizing chart and desiring my coat to fit me right (most of mine are too big), I ordered the small. My wife thought I was crazy and was sure I wouldn't be able to get it on and zipped up without it being too tight around my belly. When it arrived, I slipped it on and zipped it up. Perfect fit. Exactly what I wanted. My wife was surprised how good it looked. It is soft, warm, good pockets that can be zipped up if you want to put things in them and not worry about them falling out if you take it off or get overly active. I'm very happy with this purchase. Measure yourself and trust the chart even if it seems to suggest a size you usually don't order. Worked well for me.

Great jacket, but runs large.
I love this thing. It's warm and stays soft, even after washing. However, it runs huge. I wear a medium in everything but this jacket, where a small fits perfectly.

Great fit, but has fabric that explains the discounted price
The price (30 bucks) and number of positive ratings were what first caught my eye on this. As mentioned by other top reviewers, the fit is somewhat bigger than usual. As I am of Asian build and at 1.74m tall, I usually fit between an S and M. In most cases, I lean towards M more than an S, so given the advice I decided to get an S size for this piece. Fortunately, the piece fit really well, except that the bottom was a little tight, but not uncomfortably so. So even though the fit was great, the fabric quality isn't much to shout about. Mine came looking a little scruffy - not like it had been used - but that the fabric was just of low quality. But for the price, I reckon it was within expectations. It isn't really thick, so if you're headed out for sub zero, this mid layer won't cut it.

Great quality fleece jacket.
These are good quality fleece jackets, especially great for chilly weather. I’ve owned these things for years and believe me, they run a size up. I’m a medium in just about everything, but I buy these in size small. Trust me on that. Unless you like an overly baggy fit, go a size down.

Warm, Affordable, Comfortable
I'm a small guy, 120 lbs, 67 inches. The small size fits me wonderfully besides the sleeves being a bit long. I love how warm this jacket is even down to freezing. The price could not be more reasonable. I priced this same jacket previously at a large department store chain and it was literally over twice this price.

Simply wonderful fleece jacket
Simply wonderful fleece jacket.I got it in Charcoal Heather color. I'm 5'9" and the Small fits as expected. The jacket is thin but keeps me warm even with temps into the 40s. I sometimes wear it to work and it compliments my dress shirts and khakis/dress pants very well. I love it so far. The two large zippered front pockets are convenient. I will update this review about how the polyester fabric holds up after a few cycles in the washing machine.Definitely recommend.
