Striker 2 Mechanical Carpenter Pencil

The led breaks too easy but worked great when I used it

Poor design the tip stick open and just let's the lead out I threw it in the garbage

Horrible product. The notches in the lead that allow the lead to lock into place are easily worn down. Once that happens everytime you try to use the pencil the lead retracts.

Works well on wood, really have to push hard to make the lines dark. I'm pretty happy with the product. It's better than a normal pencil, but not if you want to mark on paper, it doesn't seem to leave a good impression.

I ordered two of these for my brother who is always looking for a good carpenter's pencil. These both arrived with broken lead inside the pencils. Luckily they both also came with a refill tube. The refill lead tube seemed to fair much better in shipping. So if you don't mind a little waste, I'd say, "give these a try!" The original Stryker mechanical pencil we first had the privilege of trying was picked up at the World of Concrete 2016 as a promotional product for Dodge. It was such a big hit with my husband we decided to seek one out for my brother. This has an excellent pencil design that could use a little work on the packaging. If all lead was put inside the refill tube this would be 4-5 star product but unfortunately because of the waste we experienced in both pencils, I felt I needed to adjust the rating to reflect that. At roughly five dollars a pencil with refill I feel this was a satisfactory deal for the dollars spent. I do hope Stryker decides to change the way they package these pencils and put all lead in the refill tube in the future. If they do, I will most definitely change my review.

After reading reviews from other customers I just had to note the vapid stupidity of some folks. The lead fits inside a plastic “pencil” and locks securely in place through a spring loaded mechanism that corresponds to groves in the lead. Pressing the end cap releases the tension and allows additional lead to extend out the end. Apparently one of the reviewers discovered that if you hold the cap down without obstructing the progress of the lead it will release the entire lead onto the floor. This of course was a clearly shocking discovery which warranted their negative review. I have determined that some folks are too stupid to feed themselves and should not be allowed any writing implement more complicated than a crayon.

Although this is a pretty cool design, the lead doesn't stay out well when scribing your line. It naturally gets pushed back into the pencil with vertical pressure which makes it annoying to use.

This mechanical pencil has made my job much easier. I'm building a 12x12 shed and constantly having to make measurements to cut wood. The lead is thick and durable and easily marks on plywood. With standard carpenter pencils the lead was always breaking off and having to sharpen. I haven't been through one strip of lead yet. I highly recommend this product.

Die Standzeit der Mine ist hervorragend, obwohl der Strich eher weich erscheint. Das Nachschieben der Minen ist eine Fummelei, die Klemmvorrichtung hält zwar gut, aber löst schlecht. Damit kann man jedoch leben. Jedenfalls um Klassen besser, wie bei einem gewöhnlichen Zimmermannsbleistift, bei dem man mehr Zeit fürs Spitzen verbringt, wie zum Zeichnen.

Feels flimsy and not what I was expecting for a Jobsite

Tolle Erfindung aber die MIenen lassen sich leider nicht wie gewohnt bei einem normalen Zimmermannsbleistift anspitzen. Aber großer Pluspunkt sind die super robuste MIenen die sich auf Estrich und Beton nicht so schnell ermüden lassen.
