Can the parcel box be lifted off the wall by a thief?

No. It cannot just be lifted off the wall. The parcel box comes with 4 x 2 inch screws. There are 4 holes at rear of parcel box where the screws go through to attach the parcel box to the wall. So, it will be fixed quite securely to the wall. I hope this helps.

Is this large enough to post magazines through please

Yes, the lid hinges open to enable you to put in magazines and small packages etc. When you close the lid, your magazine, package drops in to the the secure area below. There is a key supplied that opens the front door of the box to allow you to get the items from the secure area.

In the product information and video it shows the lid lifting up on it's own and having to be pushed down to close! Is this correct?

Yes that's right you need to start it (not a lot of pressure) and then it opens (canterlever spring) providing a platform for the parcel. Then you push down the lid and that releases the platform and deposits the parcel in the box. The delivery guys are OK with it.

Can this be floor mounted?

There are four holes in the bottom so you could probably floor mount it. It would be low to the floor though. Probably better wall mounted.
