Classic Lesson Book
As someone who is getting back into playing the horn, this book is fantastic for teaching you the very basics! Just after 10 days I was able to learn to read basic sheet music again, and the appropriate fingerings are also listed. There are a lot of simple songs and melodies such as twinkle twinkle little star; yet there’s also some more rich and challenging exercises towards the end of this book! You can definitely use this book for at least a couple months before you’d want to move on. Also… my middle school would use these books for their students, now I see why. Definitely recommend this for new horn players!

Best book for beginners!
For double French Horn this book is great. It shows fingerings for each new note as you get to it in both bb and f horn fingerings. Wonderful aids to learning. The only thing that doesn't work is getting to the online resources - you need to be part of a school band class. Not sure what to do for those of us who are self-teaching. But as self-taught, the site won't let you on.

Excellent book to get when starting to play the french horn. In my case, I haven't played for well over 20 years so it's a good book to get back into it!

Very misleading description
Although the book itself is good, the promised accompanying Interactive package (EEi) is completely misleading. You can only access this online material if you have the conductor's book as well. Then you need to create a teacher account in order for student to have access. A complete waste of time! In the past this book came with a CD and at least the beginner would be able to use something to move forward with their learning. Having contacted Essential Elements they replied initially and then cut out all communication to help with my situation. I would recommend another method if you are trying to teach your own children.

Good product
It is very hard to find in. Normal sorice, as it is not a very normal instrument that child will learn. I can find this book in Amazon which I believe I can always find unique thing in Amazon
