For the price of an audio to USB adapter you can get the whole thing. It's the usual quality mic and it connected just fine to my Insta360 X3 camera. Do the 3 dB boost for the external mic. in settings.

Clip the mic to my shirt, ran the cable down the selfie stick, and recorded a narrated walk along the shoreline in moderate wind. Wind noise suppression: Knocked down significantly—even in gusts. Audio clarity: My voice came through crisply with minimal processing. Walks along the beach with narration were publish-ready without needing voiceovers. Natural ambiance: Waves, wind rustle, and bird calls became audible without overpowering or drowning out my voice. The MLC‑6 transformed what used to be unusable beach audio into something professional and usable.

As an Insta360 owner, I had high hopes that this USB-C lav mic would ease the process of capturing audio to my Insta360 - and it does! However, the “Eureka” moment was short lived, as during testing, it became almost instantly clear, that the sound quality produced by this lav-mic is absolutely unusable. The amount of post processing needed, to sound anything other than a feeble attempt to speak through a 6-mile long tin-tube, in the voice of someone who feels that bass is optional, is annoying at best. In all, the convenience of directly connecting to the USB-C port of the Insta, was short lived and the lav-mic is unusable. Save yourself the money, and buy the Insta audio connector, and then add a quality TRRS lav mic.

Not bad for 20 bucks audio quality is decent, just have to work a way to keep that pesky little cord out of the frame

Not a great Mike, but for the price it’s worth it. The fuzzy thing that covers the mic falls off, you have to glue it.

If you use the insta 360 one x2 on a vehicle going faster then 25mph, you'll quickly find their noise cancellation is lame. If you use the premium lens, you cant use the mic adapter for the wireless accessories to help... Endless roadblocks to eliminate the wind noise.... Not all wired mics work directly plugged into the USB C slot, but this one is confirmed DOES WORK with the X2. No insta 360 adapter required. I snake the cable down the selfie pole and all good. Bought a male to female right angled adapter to help keep the plug-in hidden and more secure to the camera/selfie stick. Overall, 4.5 stars for the sound quality, but the win over wind noise makes it a solid 5 any day of the week.

...and is reliable. Does not require any extra batteries, and you will not need to buy the wireless microphone adapter for use with Insta360 camera. It also takes ip bery little space. An extension cord(s) can be used so you do not need to be so close to the camera.

I don't know if I got a dud product, but this thing worked worse than the internal mic on my insta360 ONE X2. I didn't even think that was possible.

What a difference , putt Mic under moter bike seat close to exhaust !! Wow 0 wind noise and all exhaust at full power amazing sound quality now !!

Absolutely useless

I'm a blogger on Tiktok and needed a cheap micraphone to use with my X3 Insta camera. This does the job great. Literally just plug in and it's connected. So easy and just what I needed.

Not a bad microphone for the price. I used it with an Insta360 X3, the only downside is that the cable is rather short, and quite limiting. Quality is good, and audio quality is acceptable, however you do lose some “depth” in the audio quality.

Thought I stumbled on a great product, and the price point was expensive, so thought it would be worth it. I have an insta 360 x3. This is a complete waste of time and money. I now need to look again.
