Rope Dog Leash with Reflective Double Handles, Gray, 5ft Long

This is the third one of these I've bought - not because they broke or wear out but because I seem to be collecting dogs. A 110lb Lab, 80lb Pit Mix and now some kind of Doodle. In any case, these leashes have held up well (first two anyway) and the traffic handle is great when I need to reign them in around crowded places or narrow areas. It took me a little while to get used to the 5' length but it works really well with three dogs. My only complaint is the traffic handle can drag when the pups are behaving and one of the leashes has worn through to the inner cord. Not really a leash problem but i would like the handle a little further from the collar clasp. I would buy again (hopefully won't need to) and would recommend. I know some complain about the carabiner breaking or being weak but I've not had any issues in well over a year.

Bought 2 of these for our two dogs 5 years ago and just bought 2 more to replace them because they started fraying a bit and the second handle started breaking away a bit. But they’ve held up so well overall and I purposely went back through my Amazon orders to purchase the same ones again! We use them daily and they hold up great through lots of camping, hikes, runs, etc. The second handle is a game changer as well. Comfortable to hold even when dogs pulls and the reflective pieces are helpful for night time walks!

I wanted to wait and use this leash for a while Before I could accurately say, I liked it or not so after five months of daily use, I am so glad I purchased this leash. The main reason I bought it was because I wanted a clasp that would not open or at any chance, and I have to say this one is not opened up at all it states secured. I never felt ones like it was gonna pop open at all. rocksolid leash. The only change I’ve made is that I have added a little strap to the loop that comes back to the leash. Otherwise it does dangle down and drags so that is what the photo is above. That’s the only improvement I can make on this, but otherwise, I absolutely love it. I would love it if they sold it in just a little little longer variety..

Overall this is a great product. The automatic locking carabiner gives me peace of mind as a typical leash failed me and almost resulted in my dog getting hit by a car (he’s a puppy and we are still working on a solid recall). I am 5’3 and the lower handle is in a great spot and is perfect for holding when I ask my dog (springer spaniel) to heel. My boyfriend who is 6’3 says it’s a bit too low for him though. It has reflective striping which is great and has held up well so far. No complaints other than the piece covering the lower handle seems to be trying to move and uncover where it attaches to the main leash. It makes me wonder how long that handle will hold up. If it holds up I would love to see something similar for smaller dogs. I have a mini schnauzer too that I’m having a hard time finding a small locking carabiner leash for.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one because this leash has been great. I have used the same one for daily walks for two years. My dog is strong, reactive, and pulls on walks. This leash makes it easy to have a good grip on her, due to the sturdiness, quality, and double handle. The swivel carabiner is easy to use and very secure. I never have to worry that it may detach form the harness. The quality is also great. After two years of daily use for numerous walks, it is as sturdy as on the first day and looks new.

We have been using this a few months now and it is great! Our 60lb 1year old pit/lab mix gets really exited to see dogs and people on walks and tends to just want to jump on them so the short handle gives us great control and keeps him close to us! He’s even gotten better at not eating everything off the floor because we are able to have so much more control on where his head can reach! We use this with a front hooking harness and we still have a ton of control over him! Great thickness seems like it will last forever! And this biggest thing is it’s so much more comfortable than wrapping a leash around your hands and arms 10 times!

Love the leash. The only thing that is a little tough is the clip. You have to twist and then push to open and close it. It's a bit of a challenge with a 6 month old Doodle. Having said that, it makes me feel good that he won't ever pull himself out of it.

Comfortable leash. High quality. Good thickness. The functionality of the base handle is why I purchased. When you need to shorten the distance between you and your dog, that base handle is perfect.

I'm a dog walker so I use this leash multi times a day. I have had this leash for almost 2 years and it is still going strong. I love the carabiner and traffic handle. The only complaint I have is the traffic handle hangs from the leash and the dogs sometimes get there feet caught in it or it drags in the mud. But if you are thinking about getting this leash I would go for it.
