I have two darkroom bags, this one being one of them. The first bag used some form of polyester as a fabric on the bag, which is uncomfortable to work with and harbors moisture, which is a huge pain when trying to load film spools onto a developing reel.First, I'd like to say: A proper darkroom is miles more convenient to use than a changing bag. However, a changing bag is likely miles more convenient than prepping and checking for light leaks in a darkroom, so regardless of what situation you're in it'll be a pain to deal with.The zipper got caught a couple of times, and ended up with a few extra teeth on one side (somehow) and it took some fiddling to get it fixed. The material on this bag is a lot more comfortable and smooth, and almost feels more breathable, which is good when you're messing around with a film reel blind. For a changing bag, this is a lot cheaper than some of the competition and will do the trick.

This is the perfect solution for a modern film photographer who may either be unable to dedicate space to a home studio or is apprehensive of the cost to set up a full fledged dark room until they know if they will stick with developing their own film.For me, I don't have the space capacity to dedicate to a whole darkroom, but with this I am able to develop my own film in a convenient set up that not only allows me to save space by using my utility room as a multipurpose room, but I also am able to retain my negatives that have been developed which is no longer an option if you have your filmed developed by large retails stores.My only complaint is that that material seems to be a bit thin and scratchy when it comes to use, but the other benefits of the Darkroom Equipment eTone Film Changing Bag Camera Dedicated Film Developing Darkroom Zipper Bag definitely outweigh any complaints I may potentially have.

I wish I had purchased a tent because even this large size bag is annoying to use without internal supports to keep the bag out of your way. But tents are more expensive, bulkier, and heavier while with this, you can always insert a box.If you know you want a changing bag and not a tent, this one is a great value. Good zipper, light weight, nice two sleeve elastic arm holes and I haven't fogged any film yet. (Only used it indoors.)
