That would depend on the size of the door bottom and the height of the gap. The seal begins to drop on the hinge side first and as the door is closed the seal is lowered along to the lock side. This prevents any drag from occurring.

Q: Does this door bottom require routing the bottom of the door or does it fit on the outside of the door?

Yes, it needs to be let in with a 1-3/8"deep route. Get the door placed in good position for routing & clamped good and firm. We made (3) separate passes to get that deep; or was it (4)?

Q: I need 31.5" - which size should I purchase?
