Should distilled water be used

We recommend regular cleaning as detailed in the manual and using distilled water for the best results. As another alternative, purified or filtered water will be slightly better than tap water.

Does the air that comes out of this thing fell chemical and does it not have any specific smell?

Since the mist coming from the unit is just water, there should not be any smell coming from the unit. You will only get a scent from the humidifier if essential oils are added to the water.

Can i set this on a wooden table?

I have mine sitting on a wooden table and it’s just fine. Just try your best not to spill it and you should be fine. Also don’t turn it all the way up. Having it just barely on works perfectly
