The book is well written with the warmth of a person who loves to cook. Sharing memories throughout her lifetime Ms. Loren becomes just Sophia. With care, with devotion to detail, with the motivation of providing only the best of ingredients, culinary skill, and satisfaction for those she cares about the book is so much more than a cookbook...it is a journey with a lovely lady whose love of life reflects itself in her cooking. Surprisingly, some of the recipes originate at a time in her life when she could not buy whatever she wanted the results being renderings that every person can afford. The lesson for me was that anything...lowly or lofty...put together with love nourishes both body and soul.

Got the cookbook in pristine condition and earlier than expected! Sophia is a gorgeous and fabulous actress, who places Faith and Family above all. Her recipes are true to her Italian heritage and established values.Bella Dea, Sophia!!!

Beautifully illustrated and loved the anecdotal stories. So far, I have made one recipe and it was delicious. Most recipes are accessible and not too difficult to make with easily obtainable ingredients.

Sophia Loren shares her recipes, her movies, her family and her amazing thoughts about the world which is a great, fun and entertaining learning experience. The photos are magnificent. Her stories are captivating and enchanting. Her recipes work! I've made many of her recipes and each one is delicious. She guides you through the cooking/baking process in an easy and fun way. I highly recommend this book for every cook and baker. It is delightful.
