Great Rice
This is a great rice. It tastes great and is easy to cook with. I rinse it really well and drain and then cook in my instant pot for 4-6 mins, either works fine, and we love it. It helps my blood sugar not to spike.

As Good as it Gets
My first experience with Louisiana rice came just two weeks ago when I spent a week in New Orleans eating my through classic dishes and well known restaurants. My favorite dish was seafood gumbo and a lot of it had to do with the rice. This item meets the standard. It is highly flavorful and even when cooked through it retains its shape, integrity, and chew. I used it to make red beans and rice at home and it came out really well.

Great product, characterization as low glycemic index is completely accurate. Rise in blood glucose was moderate not a sharp spike up.

Expensive to purchase it here
This one is very expensive to purchase here on Amazon. I’ve bought a 10-lb bag in the past for roughly the same price as I paid for this 2-lb bag. I did not realize I could purchase this locally at a big box store for about a third of the current price. Especially with the current economic situation, I will not purchase this product here from Amazon again. But with that being said, I do like the rice because I am trying to reduce the carb load of what I eat. I try to make this at least a day ahead of when I am going to have it with a meal (resistant starch) but because the carb content doesn’t affect me as much, I can still have it that day.
