Hardened steel is kind of generic term. Short answer, Yes but at a higher wear rate. I have cut a truck leaf spring and stainless steel panels with this blade. Both would be harder than mild steel.

Yes, The DEWALT DW8022 12-Inch Metal Cutting Wheel is designed for that. Should be no problem at all.

Q: Will this fit a crafsman coo saw

No, the current model of CRAFTSMAN chop saw CMEM2500 would require a 1 inch arbor. We would recommend using the DW8001 wheel.
