Easy installation! And no leaks.
I used two of these to hook up our new water softener. I was a little skeptical in using shark bite. But it made the installation so much easier and no leaks!

Sharkbite connectors
Used products before and trust the manufacturer! Surprised I couldn’t get this size. In the store where I bought the item needed for!

Just what I needed to connect a new, whole-house filter to 3/4 inch copper pipe.
I purchased two of these to connect a new, whole-house iron/sediment water filter (Terminox), which is similar in size to a water softener. My main water line is 3/4 inch copper. I was hesitant at first to purchase these because one of the reviewers I read stated he was a plumber and could not get these to fit properly on 3/4 inch copper pipe. I did not have a problem.Installation is simple, and to ensure a secure, proper fit, I always follow SharkBite's instructions. After making my cuts, I properly deburr the end (with a small deburring tool) and clean the exterior of the pipe for approximately 1 1/2 inches with emery paper. After wiping the pipe with a clean rag, I used a sharpie to make a mark at 1 1/4 inches from the end. After this I simply pushed the fitting onto the pipe until it stops. The mark is to ensure that the SharkBite fitting is all the way on the pipe and hasn't stopped short for some reason.I'm always leery of using SharkBite type fittings, and I would have preferred to use soldered connections, but for this application it was my best choice. I have to admit the two foot length make these versatile.

Water softener install
These connectors made installing a water softener a lot easier. I’m an average diyer and was quoted a few grand to install a water softener so I decided to do it myself. After some research, I was going to need some pex tubing but these connectors looked like they’d speed the process up and make most of the plumbing a lot easier. Overall that was true and the install went pretty good. It did take some effort to figure out exactly how to get these connected to the pex as there’s very little guidance but some online searches helped a lot.

Works Well For Specific Scenarios, No Tools / Skills Needed
This is the perfect part for integrating a water softener and/or iron filter into your existing 3/4" water system. It is easy to install, requiring no special tools or skills and very effective for it's purpose. The flexible lines make for great smooth flow, and there are no leaks when installed correctly. However, if you are building a new system or want something cleaner looking, I would recommend the "SharkBite UC529LFA 3/4x1 FNPT swivel adapter" also on amazon for $8 each. They require a crimp connection so they aren't for everyone, but if you are already overhauling your water piping and have or are planning on getting crimpers they are the perfect part for the job and not something you will find locally. That being said, I used these flexible hoses as an interim part of my setup and reused a set that came with my water softener and had zero issues, just wanted more flexibility and less torsional stress on the heads of my filtration equipment (these are heavy).P.S. Bonus is if you add equipment you can totally use a short piece of pipe and connect these SharkBite to SharkBite, I had this setup more over a month with no issues and see no reason it couldn't last as long as a typical SharkBite connection.

A must have
A must have when connecting any kind of tank to PEX plumbing. I've used similar in the past for a water heater and just used this for connecting a water softener system to my PEX plumbing. With the resin tank turned for easy access to water inlets/outlets with a few wraps of Teflon tape on the threads of the water inlet and outlet and screw this onto the tank, then turn the tank back so this flexible hose is facing the plumbing and push on the other end to the PEX pipe. Job done.
