This hearth clock is super nice! The chimes sound really nice and it has been holding the time correct ever since we started it up two years ago, same batteries! Easy to understand instructions to set it up. It’s a great looking ,sounding clock. Glad I bought it!

It arrived a day early! I loved that. Thank you to the seller and the postal service. The clock is bigger than I thought it would be. Very nice and elegant. I understand from the reviews of those familiar with these clocks that this particular one is made in China and thereby inferior in quality to the original make...however, being my first "fancy" clock, I absolutely love it. It chimes the hours although not the half hour, and has an "off" button if you don't want the chimes. And it has an automatic silence for later hours. It takes 4 batteries (1 for the clock hands and 3 for the pendulum). It is delicate, it feels like metal and glass...will clearly break if falls--it is fragile. It does not feel like plastic nor look it. However you can tell it is not made from the best quality materials the truly expensive ones are made from. So, if you don't mind it not being "top quality" but still a well made aesthetic to enjoy...go for it. I did. And so far, so good.

Love this clock. It isn't plastic, it's medal. It chimes and keeps proper time so far. I've only had it for a few hours. I love, love it.

Performs as described. Its not an heirloom piece but serves my purpose of alerting me to time of day throughout the house. I really like the feature that shuts off the chime from 11pm to 5am. The chime is loud enough to hear but not loud enough to wake you up. Appearance of materials is adequate but it is smaller than my previous clock. I am a satisfied customer.

looks nice, but chiming was off by 1 hour brand new now after 6 months, it is off by 2 hours. Chiming is faint too! Save your money!!

We've had a Bulova clock like this on our piano for about two decades, so when that one finally gave up the ghost we got this one, which was a noticeable step up. Even though the Roman numeral 4 is wrong ("IIII" instead of "IV"), it still looks nice and is easy to read. I like that the hands and spinner run off different batteries in this model, so I don't need to think about either one, and I know the spinner will always be moving, which is half the allure of this type of clock. A very classic look that looks great wherever you put it.

This glass dome clock reminds me of the clocks I saw in Triburg, Germany many years ago. Although it's not made in Germany it still has that charming appeal. It does take some patience to set the time correctly, by pressing the reset button and listening to how many rings go off; repeating this until the number of rings match the time. It's not difficult. I did have an issue with turning the minute hand around, going clockwise. Looking at the clock closely, I then saw the minute hand was pressed against the hour hand and could not move. Using a metal nail file I very carefully lifted the minute hand, just a smidgen, off of the hour hand. Now it runs perfectly and is keeping accurate time. Very happy with my purchase.

Bought as an anniversary present. Works well, sounds nice and keeps good time. Parents-in-law are really happy with it.

I had to return the first clock as the chimes failed to work, Amazon quickly sent a replacement (thanks customer service) and this one was quick to set up and works fine. Be aware that original mechanical brass clocks of this design can cost a great deal ,this is a modern low cost version and for the price is fine, gifted the new owner is very happy.
