Ok for general use, forget it if you want precision.
Received two days after ordering, given the current crisis that is excellent. All seemed in order when unboxed with regards to integrity of the main body and all accessories. Used for the first time today to drill some holes for a curtain pole into concrete and brick. Fitted the smallest of the masonry bits supplied with the drill and powered it up and noticed that there was quite a bit of oscillation at the bit tip. Fitted the two other bits, to make sure the bit wasn't bent, with the same results so I can therefore only assume that it is the chuck that is out of alignment??? There is a 3-4mm oscillation at the tip of the bit which rules out any precision work but ok for general use.

Outstanding drilling machine
This is an amazing, quality, all purpose drilling machine. I am thoroughly impressed with the machine and cannot fault it yet in any way, a very rugged and ergonomic design and quality cable.Having read several negative comments here I have come to the conclusion that they should not be allowed to use this kind of equipment without adult supervision. The extra power it has over "branded" units is very apparent when it's dropping a 20mm hole through concrete composite. It'll also add extra width by plunging 25-32 bits down a predrilled 20mm hole without any stress. You just needed be commonsensical about speed settings. As with all SDS units allow drill to do the work and apply only supportive pressure, for best results.Instructions are pretty poor and arranged at people with previous experience in operating similar machinery. If this machine will fail at any time in the future it would most likely be down to the trigger/speed assembly breaking. This is a standard failing on this kind of machine, BUT enclosed handle design eliminates direct damage.Brush or blow off after user to keep workings cleanUseful case, but it won't last too long.Overall: For £54.00 you can't go wrong and it will last most people a lifetime.

Not as good as first thought.
Had some other evolution products which were very good ( electric concrete cutter Brilliant) so I didn't hesitate buying this drill. The drill was brilliant initially but after using a few times I found that the drill bits were out of centre (as if the drill bit was bent). I retuned the drill, which was an easy experience, and the it was returned about a week later (very good). The only disappointment was that the report that cam back said "no fault" but commented that it was slightly out of line but within tolerances. I guess that means these drill are not made for drilling accurate holes! The instructions are also poor, pages of safety but very little on how to operate.

Excellent range of features for not too much money.
I've only used this drill for a short period and already I'm very impressed. The range of features for the price is really quite remarkable and I'm delighted that it's British designed. First of all it's not too heavy and very ergonomic to operate. There are four very useful and easily selectable modes of operation: normal drilling for wood and for paint stirring/plaster mixing; hammer drilling for concrete, brickwork, etc.; fixed chiselling when control of the chisel angle is important; and, free chiselling when it's OK for the chisel to turn as it encounters resistance. In each mode the speed can be controlled by varying the pressure on the trigger or by turning the speed control dial and locking the trigger in the On position - very useful for long operations like plaster mixing. Then there's the reversing switch, which makes extraction of drills stuck in wood so much easier. Finally, the side handle can be easily locked in any positron for better control of the drill. In operation, the hammer action is very efficient, making chiselling operations effortless. All in all, a great tool and the fifth from this maker I've been impressed with, others being their RAGE3-S+ Multi-Purpose Sliding Mitre Saw, their Mitre Saw Stand with Extensions, their RAGE1-B Multi-Purpose Circular Saw and their Diamond Blade for cutting concrete etc. - and I suspect it won't be my last. Highly recommended.

Should have bought one years ago
Needed this to drill a 16mm x 450mm hole for copper piping and it went through like a hot knife through butter. I've used it for multiple smaller jobs since then preferring it over my old hammer drill, and it's been a dream to use. It's really not that heavy and has handled everything with aplomb. Yet to use the chisel action but it seems plenty powerful enough, despite some reviews really slating it. The case is OK too - it's not professional standard but I wouldn't expect that for the fee, but it's perfectly serviceable and will last fine if treated with a bit of respect. For the price, what's not to love?
