Looks awesome on my VW MK7 GTI and reduces wind noise
I love the utility and look of the VW OEM roof racks on my VW MK7 GTI, but they added a fair amount of wind noise on highways. After evaluating a few brands, I decided to take a chance of Yakima 46" wind fairing - it was the size recommended by Yakima's manual.Installation was very straightforward - you basically run some straps through some openings and tighten them with the included wrench tool until they don't go anymore. The manual says you can optionally cut off any excess material, but I didn't feel like my extended too far so I left it as is. The kit also comes with some clear plastic patches to place on the roof of the car in case you hit a bump and the fairing makes contact.Overall, the installation only took a few mins of effort. I spent more time organizing the parts and visualizing than actual doing. No sweat! Some folks on VW message boards worry about the thickness of the OEM racks and 3rd party fairings, but as you can see from the photos, the Yakima wind fairing works fine and feels very secure.Wind noise has been reduced - I'm no longer conscious of it. Cosmetically, the wind fairing adds to the curb appeal of my car.I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

Great to reduce noise
Great to reduce howling noise on a 2024 Mazda 3 hatchback with a roof rack. It doesn’t make it much quieter, but it’s a less noticeable sound. It looks good, but it’s kinda expensive for what you get. It’s basically a piece of black plexiglass with some plastic straps. The screws aren’t even real screws they’re just plastic push pins. However, I like that it comes with little clear plastic stickers to protect the paint.

For us, it cut out All the noise of our bars!!
I read all reviews, so I didn't expect a miracle. But it pretty much cut the entire rumble we used to have before it. It was so loud, we couldn't have a conversation much less hear the radio.I bought the largest size and it covers perfectly one end to the other, so maybe that's the key.End of day, this was worth Every penny for us.

NOT compatible with RAV4 models that have sunroof
Ordered the wind fairing for my gen5 RAV4 as the website said it was compatible, but once it arrived we realized that it would have to sit on the sunroof which not only makes the sunroof not operable but can lead to long term damage / issues. Having all the pressure from the wind (especially when driving at higher highway speeds which is the reason to buy one in the first place) go through the glass of your sunroof is not recommended.Leaving a 1 star review because when I returned it, spreetail tried to only issue a refund for $70 and claim that a $90 stocking fee was required.. we never even installed or used it since it was quickly apparent that the mounting piece would sit on the glass.Shoutout Amazon custom support for correcting the issue.

Fits 2018 Subaru Impreza
Fits my 2018 Impreza sport with the factory crossbars perfectly! Install was super easy, no wind noise and even took it through a car wash without issue.

Solid windfairing.
This is a nice windfairing. The mounts are not universal and do not fit some non-OEM roof rack rails. This requires tightening them down tighter than recommended. Also requires pushing them down hard onto the roof to avoid catching air underneath and vibration of the fairing (beating the roof/sunroof).Functionally, it works as designed. When flush to the roof, it stays in place and cuts down wind noise on the roof rack about 50-70% at speeds above 50. Still a bit of wind noise above 75.
