The Book of Killer Plants: A Field Guide to Nature's Deadliest Creations

Incredibly interesting and eye opening
I had no idea that all parts of the cotton plant are toxic. And I have so many toxic plants growing around me. This is a clearly written and organized book. A real page-turner. The only issue I have is that there is no table if contents or page numbered list of the plants. That would make it easier to look up plants.

Intuitively organized
Irecited this book as a gift with the warning many people loved the content but that it was disorganized and hard to find things, however... I noticed that they are in fact arranged alphabetically by genus and species. I appreciate this as one who prefers taxonomy to common names that can have overlap, so accurately finding something is very easy. Well done there. This book is an excellent addition to my collection

Incomplete book ... No Index! ... No Table of Contents!
Excellent, although short presentations for dozens of poisonous plants. But there is NO INDEX, and the plants are NOT listed in alphabetical order. Good luck if you are looking for a particular plant. In addition to skipping the index, there is NO Table of Contents! The author, editor and publisher cut two big corners. This book is fairly useless, unless you just want to peruse through it page by page, story book style.I don't understand why they would cheat the reader like that? To save a few leaves of paper and milligrams of ink? Just lazy?

Fascinating, but flawed
This book presented a lot of info that I had never come across before about toxic plants, and it seems like the author knows her stuff. But as someone has mentioned there is no index, and the plants are not in alphabetical order, which makes it very difficult to quickly look up plants or use the book as a field guide. And I could be wrong but the drawing of American mistletoe seems to be more representative of European mistletoe, which is somewhat misleading.
