Great antenna choice for when you are out in the country side between two major cities.
Recently moved into a three story, 5500sf stone and large timber built house with an additional 2000sf of basement on 3 acres of land. It's in a rural area with only one (crappy) ISP option other than satellite internet. Cellphone reception is two bars outside and one inside and zero in the basement. Rabbit ear TV reception is a no go. So I needed something to get regular OTA TV stations to help with lack of good streaming.* I chose the 1byone Antenna because of the advertised distant it would cover. On average I am over 51 miles away from two major markets. It did not disappoint.* Mounted the antenna on the top of a 45 foot radio antenna that we had on our property and then ran the cable that came with down the inside of the mast. Cable was not long enough to reach the ground so I extended it to the a demarcation box CableGuard CG-2000 Coax Demarcation Enclosure at the base with 400ft QUAD SHIELD RG-11 Direct Burial Underground with Floodant Solid Core Coaxial Cable 3Ghz 14AWG 75 Ohm UV RESISTANT PVC JACKET Outdoor Application RoHS Compliant Lower Signal Loss Over RG7 cable.* Inside the demarcation box I ran the cable through a surge protector TII 212 Broadband Cable TV and Satellite Lightning Surge Protector 75 Ohm 5-1500MHz This way it is grounded because it is up so high* From there I was able to run more RG-11 Quad cabling underground into the house and connected it to a amplifier PCT MA28PN RF Amplifier Passive Return CATV Amp 8-Ports * Happy to say that even with all the long cable runs I still get over 50 OTA HD channels and have it currently going to three TV's with no issues.* We just happen to be between Chicago and Milwaukee and pick up both cities broadcast which is nice for sports.* I believe that the higher you can get this antenna in the air the better you will be, especially if you are in between two markets.* As other reviewers have pointed out, this antenna is big and might not be for everyone.

1byone's Packman ghost shaped antenna.
I researched antennas, many had about the same ratings, and after the lesser rated units were weeded out it came down to this and two other units. The price was a bit higher than the others, but this one came with coax and a few other extras, so here I am. It was replacing a 20+ year old Radio Shack disk "omni-directional" that wasn't all that omni or digital, but for less than $20 it did what I needed it to. Now, enter the 1byone at a little over $80. Ok, it's big, and I knew that by their description. It's white, really white. It has this blue light built into it that is on ALL the time. I haven't found a way to turn it off and am getting ready to do "surgery" on it to fix that (did I mention it's a REALLY BRIGHT blue? So be careful if you're hanging it outside and you have covenants where you live). At first it didn't even pick up all the channels that the old R.S. unit did when hung in the exact same spot. It took a bunch of moving and turning and custom hanging to finally search in all my old channels. So, with that being said, it's not all that "omni-directional" because I ended up making a hanging bracket and had to turn it to just the right spot to get most of the channels most of the time. And speaking of lights, the amplifier has a bright blue, well it started as blue and it turned red about a week ago, light in it. Nice night light though, it paints the wall behind the tv with a nice red glow. It says it has an 80 mile range, not this one, barely gets the ones 40 miles or less (and this will elicit the "check here for towers, the line of sight, do 1, 2 and 3, etc, etc, etc" speech from 1byone, like I didn't read that in ALMOST EVERY review). So, after almost 6 weeks, would I recommend it? A very reserved yes, more because of it's ratings and other reviews than my experience.29Jan2019 UPDATE. So, rehung the unit inside after spending hours of positioning, repositioning, and re-re, well you get the picture. Did I mention hours and hours over several weeks. After spending 80 bucks, I REALLY wanted this to work. So, after it not working well outside and the issue with the blue light, I mounted inside so wind, rain, temps, shifting mast/pole/mount wouldn't be an issue. Nada. For a week or 3 I'll get all the channels. Suddenly 1 or 2 will disappear for days or weeks. All the towers are within 40 miles. 3 of them are within a few degrees of each other. I finally gave up around the 1st of this year, took this one down, hung the 20 plus year old non-digital Radio Shack in the same place and it's been fine ever since. Lesson for me, new isn't always better.

we like the 360 degree reception
As many folks we were paying way too much for cable and not finding anything to suit our taste. So we purchased the 1byone Antcloud Outdoor Antenna. Had a friend get on the roof and attach it to the mast of the Dish TV. Fit perfectly . We live with what are called mountains and lots of trees, we like the 360 degree reception, no turning to find a station. So far we count 28 channels. We picked up a favorite PBS from Maryland which we did not have with our old service. Picture is clear, and have not lost reception due to cloud cover or storms. Well made "cute" thing. Gave it a 4 as there is always room for improvement! We live in the country, in Central PA about 45 min. from a large city.

Cable Cutter solution for local channels
I recently decided to cancel my cable and go strictly Netflix and Sling TV. Probably the best decision I ever made but I was missing out on local channels (ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS) so i can watch local news and football. After reading about Over The Air (OTA) I found out I could get local channels for free in HD. After researching which antenna would work best for my area, I narrowed it down to the Antcloud Outdoor Antenna.- Less distracting that those metal array antennas. My homeowners association is pretty strict regarding what you put on the roof. Small form factor.- Easy to Setup. The previous owners had left a satellite dish on the roof which I simply removed but left the mounting arm in place. Once the Antcloud Antenna was attached I used the existing coaxial cable that was connected to the satellite dish. I tried scanning for channels initially without the booster but the result we disappointing- 2 channels. After plugging in the booster, it picked up 20 digital signals and 1 analog. I have a Sony XBR 4k television and the channels look great on it.Definitely worth the buy and would buy again if I ever need to.
