I got the MANSCAPED Fresh Start Kit for my husband because it seemed like a practical all in one set. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and ball deodorant all in one package sounded like a pretty easy way to upgrade his routine without having to think too hard about it. Plus, the branding makes it look like every man who uses it suddenly owns a luxury sports car. The products themselves are actually pretty nice. The body wash lathers well and leaves skin feeling clean without that dry, squeaky feeling. The 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner is convenient, especially for guys whose entire hair care routine can be summarized as "whatever is closest to the shower." His hair felt clean, and he had no complaints about how the products performed. The Crop Preserver was probably the most interesting item in the kit. I never thought I would be reading reviews about ball deodorant, yet here we are. According to my husband, it felt comfortable and did what it was supposed to do. No complaints in that department. Now let's talk about the scent. The description makes it sound sophisticated with all the citrus, jasmine, vetiver, and woody notes. In reality, scent preferences are very personal, and unfortunately my husband was not a huge fan. Every time he used it, he would sniff himself and look mildly confused, like he was trying to decide whether he smelled like a gentleman or an expensive department store candle. The products worked well, but the fragrance just was not really his thing. If the fragrance happens to match your taste, you'll probably enjoy it much more than my husband did.

So, I don't particularly buy into the "men's" and "women's", gender specific product thing. I use what i like and that's just what it is. This 3 piece set by MANSCAPED has been an interesting addition to my and my husband's hygiene routines. The shampoo plus conditioner 2-in-1 is the only product I don't use and didn't have an interest in from the start. My husband does use it and says he likes it well enough. He's posses a scalp of a flakier variety so he uses Head & Shoulders then adds a bit of this to the lather. It leaves him with a scent we both like but doesn't irritate or dry his scalp. The body wash is a product we both like. I mean, body wash is body wash, is body wash most of the time. It's one of those products that feels pointlessly gendered. I will say that we both use creamier body washes regularly so we just add a bit of this to our poofs mostly for the added fragrance. The real star of this set is the " Crop Preserver" ball deodorant. My husband enjoys not sitting in ball soup in our southern heat and humidity. Me, I'm loving not having swampy crevasses down below despite missing the prescribed dangly bits. I don't know who needs to hear it but women are real people and real people doing real things in the real world sweat, especially in that same southern heat and humidity. Lol, the Crop Preserver is a product we can both absolutely get behind. It is strong enough to do its job for anyone of any gender and doesn't cause irritation. We enjoy this whole set by MANSCAPED and are quite impressed. We will be keeping it as part of our hygiene routines for the foreseeable future or until we find something we like better. It's well worth its price and for all you get is a pretty decent value.

I picked up this set because it covered all the basic shower needs and then some. The listing has a salon-level product feel to it, and that's also how I feel after using them. They definitely don't feel like a low end generic product. Starting with the shampoo, you don't need to put a lot on. It lathers up thick and covers a large area. It leaves your scalp tingly and does have a heavier scent to it, but it's not too perfume-y. It has a lot of nice features listed on the bottle: vegan, cruelty free, dye free, etc... but then when you look over at the ingredients, there are a lot on there and a lot of chemicals that I've never heard of. All I can say is it added body to my hair when using it, and doesn't dry it out or make it too stiff. Next up was the body wash which also was scented but in a masculine way. It also had a column of nice features and a decent list of ingredients although not as many as the shampoo. It worked well, and rinsed off easily without leaving any greasy residue behind. Final was the ball deodorant. I gotta be honest, when I first glanced at the listing, I thought it meant ball deodorant as in a roll-on deodorant. Nope. It's a deodorant for your privates. Follow the instructions for applying. Make sure you are dry at first. I will say, I wore it when working outside on a couple 90 degree days and it at least helps with chafing. There's a first time for trying everything, I guess. Overall, I really like this set, and like I said, it has a salon-quality feel to it. Based on that, the price is a good value. You could easily drop this much just for a similar sized bottle of shampoo. I'd continue to buy more as I use this up.

We've come to appreciate the reliability and quality of MANSCAPED products in our home and prefer to order them via Amazon. The precious little boys I created have grown into smelly young men. So when we find good smelling products that they will want to use, we get a bit excited about it. Manscaped makes products that they want to use. So much so, that the youngest who I got this product for is afraid to leave it residing in his bathtub for fear that his brother will use it all up. He is enjoying these products and we are appreciative of that. A three pack was a perfect way to address most of his "smelly" needs. His hair smells nice, looks and feels clean and doesn't get oily or heavy and weighed down. His skin is never irritated and smells nice and it lasts a while too. The "Crop Preserver".. I assume it is working great because I have neither smelled anything unpleasant in his presence, nor has he complained about any undesirable effects "down there". I am not about to ask my teen son for details about that specific part of his body. He doesn't have to use much at all to get a good lather and good results from each product so I don't anticipate it being used up too fast, unless his brother steals his products again. I suppose that is my biggest 'issue', haha. Getting my boys to not steal this product from one another or getting them to share equally. If you have a male in your life who wants skin and shaving products he can rely on, that he knows will cater to his specific body and not make him smell like a petunia, than you're in the right place.

Here are my thoughts: Pros: The crop preserver was tried first and it was an awakening for this old man’s balls. Just wish there had been some interest in some action from the missus to show off the fresh zest for life. The shampoo/ conditioner and body wash were useful and offered an alternative scent to my usual products. I will switch out on occasion. These are all made in the USA! They are tested, and not cruelly done on animals. All positives. Cons: Let’s just say that if you wear glasses verify bottles in shower before taking your glasses off and there is no need for the crop preserver in the shower. Ha! I am not 100% sold on the scent. It could be a little more subtle. This kit is not a value especially at this size. Might be a good Father’s Day gift. Not an everyday solution, but a good one to mix in a couple days a week or maybe on the weekend.

Manscaped is an awesome brand so I was excited to get this 3 pack for my husband to try. It has a very masculine yet light scent that's not at all overpowering. Perfect for my husband who can't stand anything that has a strong aroma. The Crop Preserver anti-chafing & Ball Deodorant keeps him dry and smelling fresh and has actually kept him from chafing in the California heat. The 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner is great because let’s be real, he’s not going to mess with multiple steps. It leaves his hair soft, looks healthier, and still smells great, so it gets the job done without any extra effort. The body wash lathers up nicely, rinses clean, and leaves his skin feeling soft (well as soft as a man's skin can get) and he smells really nice & manly after his showers. The bottles are a bit smaller than I expected, but since you’re getting three different products, it feels more like trying out a few things before committing to full sizes, so I think it's worth the price.
