After One year and a few months, this thing is Leaking a lot where the motor connects to the pool pump filter basket housing, and the top of the basket cover does not seal the motor stll runs but the rest is plastic trash. it is not worth the money to purchase and have to replace again in a less than two year time period My Rating for this. Chinese Earth Clutter . GARBAGE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! The only thing I didn't Like was the Install manual It should be more specific as to the 115 or 230v It doesn't seem to be on the motor Lable as to what it was set at. that said it is prettty straight forward. These are obviously sold for the Do it your selfers so you better have a decent knowledge of electrical. Ive personally screwed in a light bulb or two so it was pretty simple for me. To All the Nay sayers.... One its all hooked up fill the thing up with water put the cap on and turn it on. It pulled water and primed straight away. The thing is whisper quiet and very smooth running. If anything changes I'll be sure to Update this. IF YOUR WIRING FROM A TIMER, 230/240 WIRE COLORS MAY VARY, CUT THE PLUG OFF USE THE EXISTING WIRES AND BE SURE TO MOVE THE BACK PLATE SWITCH TO 240 OR "H" as it may be marked.

Works great so far. I did have a few issues but these were on me not the pump. The top cap wouldn't tighten all the way down. It kept popping back up. But that's because I wasn't perfectly aligned with the pipe. I saw some people complain about the not twisting on. You can verify because if you unscrew the other end and then screw that end in first after adjusting a bit then that one screws in no problem. Also the motor kept cutting off at first after like 5 seconds but that was because I forgot to hit the button for 230v vs 115v in the back. Great pressure and super quiet. Now if my pump goes out $200 I can get the exact replacement and not have to redo any piping.

Up until now I actually liked the pump. It does what is says and moves a considerable amount of water. That is until the pump shaft seal started leaking. About halfway through this summer, I noticed the water level in the pool dropping. Slowly but definitely going down. I checked the pumphouse and saw the concrete was wet around the pump and filter area. I had my pool guy close the pool on Wednesday and check the leak at the same time. He pulled the motor off of the pump to find the shaft seal had failed. He hadn't worked with this pump before and could not locate a new seal, so he asked me to locate a manual. I could not find one online or here so I reached out to the company. I got a reply the next day asking for the link to the product that I purchased. I pasted the link in the reply and sent it off. The next day I got this; "Dear Customer, Thank you for your message. Our parts are factory exclusive and it's hard for you to find the right fitment locally. And we are sorry that we are unable to provide you with a purchase link. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other issues. Best wishes, VIVOHOME Customer Care" So apparently a SEAL is proprietary and they are telling me I need to buy a new pump. For a failed SEAL, that is easily accessible. I realize this is a "throw away" society anymore but this is ridiculous. 10/11/2023 - Since posting this review the vendor has reached out stating that there was a misunderstanding on their part with my initial email request. At this time they say they are going to send me a replacement seal.

Had been working great for 8 months, but then it shut off on its own, when turned back on it runs for just 2 minutes and shuts down, also noticed a plastic burn smell. Customer service requested info and I provided them video and pics of the pool pump set up. They sent me a replacement free of charge. Customer service was easy to work with and friendly. I think this pump is great for the price point but it doesn't have any bells and whistles. Very basic and will not tolerate any abuse for example, vacuuming at pump can overheat the pump easily. Therefore, for the new pump I plan to use a separate vacuum unattached to pump. The replacement pump, screeches/whines while running, likely related to bearings, according to the electrician. Not very happy with the quality of this replacement. UPDATE I am now replacing my 2nd pump. I ordered the same unit for ease of install and this one is acting differently. So far so good. These pumps are affordable but don't have much life in them. Expect 1-2 years on this model.
