Easy, if you follow directions!
Yes, this is inexpensive, and so it feels a bit so, but it’s light, and it works. Just don’t overfill it, and be careful if you use cheese or watery ingredients.I mainly picked this up to make taiyaki with anko, but it also worked well when I used a traditional taiyaki/imagawayaki batter (used Just One Cookbook’s recipe) and filled it with cheese. Like I mentioned, though, be careful with the cheese, as it can bubble out all over your stove if you don’t fully enclose it in batter.So, pizza dough, because it wants to rise, didn’t work well for me, as it doesn’t pour into all the decorative crevices. But whatever pour batter you use will work, I’d say.Funny thing- I see so many people pouring into each half, then others who pour, fill, then pour over- I do the latter, and it works perfectly. I don’t fill my waffle maker on both sides, then close it, so this is pretty much the same. As with anything like this, you’ll just have to get used to knowing how much batter to use to prevent overflow or to fill in enough.Enjoy!
