I really like this shell! It feels smooth, thick, just nice to hold in the hands. Not flimsy like some thinner plastics may be. The color shift is really good too. It comes with all the pieces needed for the shell and plenty of extra screws.The first three pictures are what I had to trim and sand on the inside to get fit the Funnyplaying GBA sp ITA screen. Basically all the inner walls had to go entirely and had to sand away at an angle a little of the screw holes to have just enough to get the fit. It's rough looking, which is to be expected from my first screen mod as I changed shells from my original flame red, but it worked as shown by the last picture with everything together! I'm pretty pleased with myself! Just watch how tight the top screws are when putting it all back together as you can squeeze the corners of the ita screen leaving a little blob looking spot until you relive the pressure, but you can still finesse it tight enough to stay securely closed!!Would be lovely if future versions can consider a way to fit a wider variety screens or a little easier to potentially trim as needed! I made this work because I was determined to give it a try before I jumped to the shells provided by Funnyplaying, and I'm quite glad I did.

This product was very easy to install and feels just like the original shell. I have bought from ExtremeRate for some other things and have yet to have a bad experience. They have guides on their website and YouTube that make the whole experience super simple!

Title of listing is accurate. This shell will fit the upgraded IPS screen. Exact replica of the OEM shell, just a pastel pink. Recommend getting a clear case to put over shell to protect it, as I can scratch fairly easily, and you’ll be able to see white underneath the pink. Extremely sturdy! Comes with buttons and membranes, as well as screws. Will have to remove the hinges from OEM shell and transplant them into new shell, but it is not too difficult and you can find an abundance of videos on YouTube on how to take apart GameBoy Advance SP.

I had a gameboy I was restoring and the shell was broken and cracked so I needed a new shell. This shell was very pretty and looks nice once it was put together. The most annoying part I found was that the screws were hard to insert. I had to use some of the original screws from the old GBA as they were easier to use. I also found when I was all done the buttons felt a little different when pressing them. I opened the shell again and while comparing to the original shell and the new one I realized the rubber inserts were slightly thinner than the original rubber inserts that came with the gameboy. I used the original ones and now it feels and acts exactly as I expected. Shell is great but if you have some of the original parts I would use them instead of what comes with the shell. All together I am very happy with the purchase though.

The quality is amazing for a reshell of this value! Nice glossy texture, beautiful shimmer on this particular color appears mostly blue until you hit a good angle with some light and you get a beautiful color shift to purple!Have plans to add other shells to my advanced and regular Gameboy will be getting another advanced SP to put into one of the clear shell options!Suggested to my friends as well super happy with my purchase.Update: I had an issue with installation and support via instagram was great! I have ordered multiple products from eXtremeRate over the years, and have come to expect a few things from all of their products: a signature ‘soft’ feel, high quality materials, included tools/spare parts, and most of all, STELLAR customer service. My experience with this product was yet another example of why eXtremeRate is the best at what they do. If you want to upgrade your GBA SP with an aftermarket shell: look no further.As mentioned before, the shell has a very ‘soft’ matte feel to it (as opposed to what I can only describe as a ‘squeaky’ feeling from OEM plastic surfaces). I honestly prefer this shell to the original; the quality is THAT top-notch. eXtremeRate made sure to include every piece necessary for a full shell replacement, including hinge caps and screen bumpers in matching colors and even a reproduction label for a fun individual design. This is a complete package if you want to overhaul your SP’s look and feel. I paired this shell with an IPS screen and it looks phenomenal.Upon initial installation, I faced some difficulties with the battery cover (be careful; it is a VERY snug fit). In doing so, I noticed a small defect in that one piece and eXtremeRate was more than happy to send me a full replacement with express shipping. That kind of customer service is why I will always purchase their products.All in all, I could not be more satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend both this product and eXtremeRate as a seller. I don’t think anyone does aftermarket shells better than them.

Used to work in computer repair so this was easy but even without it a simple video will help you and it shouldn’t be too frustrating

I got this to replace the old, brittle shell on my boyfriend's SP. It was hard for him to open without the hinges giving him trouble, the ribbon kept getting exposed, and he was literally afraid to even use it for fear of breaking it further. He was looking into buying another, but I talked him into letting me try putting a new shell on it, which was certainly the more affordable option.I read some reviews about the quality and feel of these cases as opposed to others, and I'm glad I spent the bit extra on this brand. This case has almost a velvety texture, and I was pretty impressed with it. With the aid of a YouTube tutorial, I had no trouble fitting the innards of the old one into this case - actually, I ran into most of my troubles getting the old case off without it breaking. This thing's GREAT 👍

Leagues better than the old generic mold, and absolutely worth price if you've been fiddling around with cheap ones for a while. If you want to "settle" for a GBA shell this is your onePros:- Great quality plastic and coloring. The color and feel aren't exactly the same as the original shells, but I kind of like it actually? The shell has a soft touch to it, and the color of the red one is very vibrant compared to the older shells, which was jarring at first but I love it now- Much better manufacturing than other shells, it actually closes properly!- The holographic optional sticker for the bottom is a nice touch, matches the holo logo on the IPS screen I installed.Minor gripe:- No indent on the top shell for the "Nintendo" sticker off your old SP shell. I just carefully placed mine where the indent should be, but this would be good to incorporate into future versions.Minor warnings:- Some of the screws can be a bit difficult to get in, just be aware and make sure you're using good downward force.- The battery lid is weirdly difficult to get off once you place it down, even without the screw. If you need to go back in, you may need to carefully use a pin or exacto knife to pry it up.- My IPS screen didn't fit out of the box so I had to trim a little plastic, but thankfully the shell was molded in a way which made it incredibly easy to cut off with a pair of modeling side cutters.Overall, 9.9/10, having the depression for the lid sticker would make it perfect

100% recomendado, fácil de armar trae todo, el color es genial, tener en cuenta ver videos recomendadospunto clave para retirar las uniones especiales para la unión de la pantalla, se debe hacer con la pantalla a medio abrir
