Best value in class, but with exceptions
Edit: the price on the set including the XL box went up $13 since purchasing a few weeks ago. Not sure I'd buy at that price point, but who knows if that's permanent. Amazon product prices seem really swingy. So many reviews that I've read for fridge organizers seem to have very low requirements. I don't know if I'm just fussy or if I want to get the most out of my space but I went in to this purchase with a very clear list of must-haves: 1. the containers have to have straight sides and be rectangular. I don't want them to nest or be circular because taking up less space in storage isn't why I'm buying them. I want them to be in use and get the most of my fridge and cabinet space. 2. They have to stack nicely. Should be a given, but many don't, especially the nesting ones of different sizes. 3. It has to be a system that I can purchase more of without buying all of them for a reasonable price. This set does all of the above and I haven't found another set that does so as of May 6 2022. Also, there are a lot of reviewers out there who take points off for things that are clearly listed in the product description. I went into the knowing that I'd be hand washing and to make sure the vents clear any moisture when drying. If you can't be bothered to read about the thing you're buying, you don't get to complain about it.That said, they aren't perfect. First off the tops don't have any sort of sealing gasket. I knew this going in. So while this isn't a problem for regulating moisture, (the fit is fine for that) it's a problem because the lids come off easily especially when trying to move them one-handed. If you have a bin of apples it's not really a problem, but I hope your box of blueberries or cherry tomatoes doesn't spill. Easy enough to remedy, just use two hands or find a way to line the lid. Maybe Amazon could look into that or offer thin rubber strips with adhesive. Half star off.Secondly, the largest size is only available in a group pack. Not a deal breaker, but it would be nice to buy that solo. Half star off.Thirdly, and I'm not taking stars off for this, you have to go into this realizing it's going to be more work and the process of finding and rearranging space in your fridge is likely to be ongoing. I guess you don't have to wash produce first, but I do, so there's that. But I also wash the bins between restocking and when that happens the fridge kind of goes back to its wild state for a while. I guess what I'm saying is keep your expectations low and your problem solving high. I haven't really figured out how to best utilize these yet but they have fantastic potential and despite the negatives above I really think it's an excellent and well thought out product.

Sharp edges
Work just like the expensive GreenS@ver and have a much more reasonable price. The edges are a bit sharp so handle with care (for your fingers).

Does What it Says
A simple product that meets my needs. It's larger than expected, but that's not a problem because it's so flat. The slim profile really helps maximize storage space in my fridge. And it's stackable. Fits 2-3 small packages of blueberries or raspberries, or a pound of carrots, no problem. Love that there is an adjustable vent on top, and a raised tray to keep my freshly-washed produce out of standing water. The container is labeled as not dishwasher safe - and that is accurate. I bought several, and put one in the dishwasher. The interior basket came out fine, but the outer shell was completely warped and unusable. I'd give these five stars if they were dishwasher safe.

These really do work
These containers keep any fruits or vegetables fresh much longer than any other storage method. I am throwing away a lot less spoiled produce. With the inner basket, you can take your produce straight to the sink to rinse it when you’re ready to use it.

Too bulky & no proper way to close.
I use this product to keep my veggies fresh & usable for longer period. It is ok. Bulky and closure is like just placing a saucer on a cup. Easy to drop.

They quickly pay for themselves
The one thing that would improve these fruit and vegetable storage containers would be some kind of mark or notice that the vent should be open for fruit and closed for vegetables, difficult to remember if I haven't used them for awhile. But one of the biggest benefits is that I feel more confident in buying produce marked down for quick sale because of expiration date. Whenever I buy produce I switch them to these containers as soon as possible and they last usually days longer than if stored in bag from produce market. Especially helpful to me is buying salad greens mix ready to serve. At the high visit everything nowadays you cam quickly recoup the purchase price by it staying fresh longer - cuts down on waste and saves trips to market to buy more when you discover how much longer they last past expiration date.

They Work But Don't Put Them In The Dishwasher
These absolutely work great. However, they are not dishwasher safe. The melt and lose shape.

Wish there were a few more ventilation slots on lid for fruit
Overall, I like these. I have several for a variety of produce. They stack nicely and are easy to clean.Downside for me is the ventilation. When I buy my fruits they are in recyclable plastic with ample ventilation holes. Amazon Basics only has a few vent slots in the top only on one side and I wonder if it’s really getting the ventilation fruits need, especially berries.Suggestion to Amazon Basics: I think the slider on the lid could easily be split in 2 sections to allow for more ventilation by providing slots on both ends. These could also be closed completely if storing spinach, lettuce, or other vegetables. I can’t imagine this would cost more to manufacture this way and allows the user to choose no, low, or high ventilation.
