Comes with 2 optical audio wires, so truly easy plug and play, from TV to mixer to receiver for karaoke singing. Sounds great, quality feels fine considering it's just over $100. Only complaint: it allows a plug-in third mic, a wired mic, called mic C. But mic C does NOT have its own volume control. instead, it is w/mic A, and w/mic B+C. My old wired mic, now mic C, is weaker than the wireless mic B, and really could use it's own volume control, turned higher. If you have 3 guys singing, this is a problem drawback. Granted, it was shown that way in the product photos, but I failed to notice it. Overall, it's great for the price . . . . . if you have only 2 singers !!

Works well with my Sonos system using the optical adapter that came with the Arc and my LG C1 tv. I was hesitant before buying because from my google search, people were saying there would be a lag using a Sonos system. For us, we didn’t notice any lag when singing and the sound quality was pretty good. For it to work, here’s how I set it up: I connected an optical cable from the tv optical audio out to the SWM16-MAX optical in. Then from the Sonos Arc using the hdmi to optical audio adapter that came with my arc to the SWM16 optical out. Then, connected the hdmi cable from the SWM16 hd out to the LG hdmi eARC input (port 2). Lastly, I had to tell my tv to use optical audio out in the sound settings. Hope this helps.

I have a TV with eARC HDMI, so plugged in SWM16 MAX to that port, configured PCM on TV and connected 2.1 speakers through optical to mixer. It works flawlessly both for passing sound from any device connected to TV through other HDMI ports like Chromecast/PS5 to speakers and as a karaoke mixer if microphones are on. Good device, definitely recommend 10/10.

Worked for a couple of days then stopped outputting audio altogether.

I am giving 3 stars since the setup was very easy and worked without any issue. Supplied optical cables were good and plugged in without any issue. However, when the unit is turned on, there's a pretty loud annoying hum (likely 60Hz mains being picked up). Also, the audio quality is a bit lower than direct connection, which I am ok with a product at $100. Assuming the hum was being picked up from the power adaptor, I powered it from my battery backup (used to charge my phone when travelling), but the hum is still there. I ordered a 1/4" Jack to RCA adaptor (since it only has 1/4" output) to see if the hum goes away. If I can't solve this, I would be returning it for a refund. Other than the hum, I really loved ease of use, packaging, and supplied accessories, although it would be great if they provide 1/4" jack to RCA breakout cables. If the hum is still present, I would be returning this.

I have always wanted a karaoke system at home, but don't want those large PA speakers, or bother with complicated set up. I also did not want to spend a great deal of money for it, just something that works with my old Bose 3-2-1 system. This karaoke system kind of fit all my requirements; it's small, easy to set up, and includes everything needed to turn it on and enjoy. I had my high school son set up everything himself, and to my surprise, I did not have to help him one bit, except for getting him batteries for the microphones. After that, me and my kids were spending 3-4 hours singing, and only stopped because of dinner time. The system itself is very compact, and well made. The microphones are of good weight, feel very nice to hold, and give out decent sound quality. My only wish would be to see a bigger range on the sound controls, and maybe a few more built-in sound effects. However, for its price (under $100), it provides just about everything you need to enjoy karaoke at home (or take it along for your vacation), without spending money on any extra parts. All in all, truly happy with the purchase! Definitely recommending it to my friends.

Just received the Sound Town Karaoke mixer system. Hooked them up with my TV (using optical cable) and set the output to PCM (Pulse-Code Modulation), phone (bluetooth) and laptop (using Aux cable). The output is connected to my Samsung sound bar using optical cable. Result: Flawless karaoke and DJ system. No issues with sound interference, perfect quality even at max sound. I will be using it for an upcoming b'day party; excited to see this in play. (Will revise this review if things don't play out as expected.

The voice output is very feeble, despite Toslink connected to my Denon AV receiver. Tried routing through a professional Yamaha mixer. Slight improvement but disappointing voice output. I have written to Soundtown too. They provided me with some solution. But not entirely satisfactory. Did anyone face the same low voice output issue? Any solution or suggestion will be helpful.
