OrlyBreathable Nail Color, Beauty Essential, 0.6 Fluid Ounce

This is the perfect nude. Somewhat sheer but buildable. I have 2 layers on over Salley Hansen's 7-in-1 treatment in my photo.I get about 5 days of wear out of this, applied over a nail strengthening treatment and without a top coat. With top coat, it doesn't last as long (I experimented with Seche Vite and got 3 days). At day 5 I had tip wear and a very small amount of chipping.I find it takes a while to dry without a QDTC so I started using Orly Flash Dry drops which helps cut dry time down a lot. By 5 days there were some scratches to my polish, but I really had to squint my eyes to see them. Love the wide paddle brush this comes with.I am a busy working mom, and I work in health care with frequent hand washing/sanitizer use. I do not baby my hands at all, other than applying lotion and cuticle oil twice a day.This is the first Breathable color I have tried. I am looking forward to purchasing more colors. But I am absolutely in love with this elevated natural look of Nourishing Nude.

Great polish. Makes bad toenails look good !

The color is good - very natural and clean and sheer enough to let you natural nail show thru. I like that it’s breathable which is supposed to be healthier for nails and I was surprised how long it lasted. The only problem I had was in getting a very even coat. It was a tiny bit streaky going on and required a few attempts to get an even streak free look.

When I got the polish I didn’t think I’d like the color on me, but once I started polishing my nails I could see the color was gorgeous. It went on smooth, no issues with the texture. I Applied two relatively thin coats pausing to dry in between. Then I took caution not to touch the paint until I was satisfied it was completely dry. This picture was taken on the third day, and as you can see there are no chips yet. The reason I gave it four stars is because it states it’s breathable so I’ll have to wait until I remove the polish to see if that’s true. Other than that I’m satisfied as of currently. I have other polishes from Dr. Remedy which I like, despite the texture being gummy, I can get a rather nice pedicure with it. This brand however costs less than Dr. Remedy and the consistency of the polish is easier to apply than Dr. Remedy. Update 7/15/25 Nope not going to work out for me. This is what my nails looked like after removing the polish, It is not breathable, and left a yellows stains on all of my nails. Normally I don’t use polish during colder weather, and the warmer days I opt to not wear polish too long or opt for a breathable nail polish. Now I have new yellowing and black stains I’m going to have to treat. Sadly not going to work for me. I’ll stick to Dr. Remedy. Please use this with caution if you struggle with nail fungus.

Purchased this product due to having damaged nails. Wanted my nails to "breathe" while utilizing a nail polish. Only applied one coat and after one week no polish chips. Could not believe it. I wanted to check status of my nails without the polish and I am seeing a improvement in their condition after one week of "breathing." I can tell this will be my new go to polish.

This is great 'healthy' nail polish! It dries fast and has rich, deep color. It doesn't dryout my nails or damage them. Highly recommend.

I'm using Jublia on my toenails so I'm supposed to leave them bare. I read a study in Podiatry magazine saying that nail polish made no significant difference when only two coats were used. I was going on vacation and didn't want my sick toenails on display at the beach so I thought I'd try this. I love it. It's not exactly shiny OR matte after I've put on the medicine but as long as I always let my nails dry complete they're good. Also, after only two weeks (Jublia has to be used for a year) most of my nails have cleared up completely. I confess I bought another color of Orly Breathable and I use them all the time even though the medicine says not to. I really believe the breathability is good enough for me to use the medicine. And you really can just use two coats of the nail polish all by itself. I think I will continue using it even when all my nails are better because it is so much faster and easier to use.
