Toppik Hair Fiber Spray Applicator for Thinning Hair Care, 1 Applicator

I really like this applicator now that I have a handle on how to use it. At first I found myself feeling it was hopelessly clogged and had to be routinely replaced. However, I've learned a few things over time and through trial & error. 1) Use the smallest size Toppik container. Even though this sprayer will work with either 12 g or 27.5 g container size, it doesn't work well when the product is too low in the container - that is, when the top of the product is more than an inch from the top of the container. For this reason, I suggest strongly that you use it on the 12 g container. I buy the 27.5 g container, and I use that to refill the 12 g container. This applicator works like a suction and it won't be able to suck up the fibers if they are too far from the top. Keep it more than half full and shake while using to keep things flowing. 2) Can the applicator clog? Sure it can - but in my experience this isn't what's keeping it from working. However, if you're unsure then remove the applicator from the product container and immerse it in water and see if you are able to pump water through it. If so, then the water either resolved the clog or there was never a clog and you're probably experiencing a problem with the product being too low in the container. After you wet it, pump out all the water and put the applicator aside to allow it to dry before you attempt to use it. The spray applicator shouldn't be used while it's wet because then it will definitely clog. 3) Sometimes you just have to use the original product as a shaker. The spray applicator isn't the best to use for every situation, so your overall results will be best if you keep a shaker cap on hand so you have this option open.

I bought this several years ago and ended up not using it or the Toppik fibers because it clogged up after a few uses. I decided to give it and hair fibers another try and the clog is just a hard mass inside the sprayer tube. It was never kept in a humid bathroom, only in my dresser drawer where it stayed dry. I tried soaking it, using some vinegar to soak that I read helps, tried to use small brushes and even a small pick to clear the clog, absolutely nothing work. I finally had to cut it apart just to see why it would clog up so badly, it was useless at that point anyway. They need to make one where you can disassemble it to clear the clog, as it now is useless after just a few uses because it's one piece that you can't clean out when it clogs. And it will clog, there is no getting around that.

After a lot of research, I decided to buy this applicator since I was having issues applying the fibers to my temples. This made Toppik so much better because it can easily direct where I want the fibers to go. With out it, I wouldn't even bother trying to use Toppik on it's own since it's basically like a salt shaker. I would've given it 5 stars but I do consider it a little overpriced for what it is but still a must buy for me.

I have alopecia ( patchy hair loss) and use Toppik to help cover up my bald spots and the product itself is great. However, this spray applicator, while it is great in what it does, it fails to mention is the size of the bottle this thing fits on , which is a pretty big deal for those of us who are on a budget and can't be buying different size bottles that this applicator fits on! I usualy buy a large bottle of Toppik and realized that this thing didn't fit on it - on a whim, i tried a smaller bottle that I buy for travel purposes and it fit perfectly. It works great when it fits, but this needs to be crystal clear on the description! Also - protip: if you want the applicator to work, make sure that the bottle of toppik you are using is pretty full so that the applicator works. I use a bigger bottle to fill the smaller one to make sure its topped up and it works great. overall its a good product, but I knocked it down a couple of stars because of the poor explanation and description. Either standadize the size or clearly label it - I have zero patience for poorly misrepresented products.

This is so helpful. I wish I had started using this a long time ago. The precision really helps me hit target areas without wasting too much product. The precise application also helps it look more natural. This elevates the effects of Toppik to a level I didn't know was possible. So grateful for this product, as I have very thin hair (to the point that it's difficult to hide bald spots). This product makes my hair look totally normal

I purchased the the Toppik Hair Fiber product first and it worked but I wanted to see if the applicator made any difference so I purchased it. It's great. Spreads the product to targeted areas without overuse of the product. I've been using it regularly because it's easy and adds a natural fullness to my thinner spots. Definitely worth the purchase.

Works well as advertised. Notes who think there is an issue: * Nozzle Clogs and doesn't work. Don't store on your bathroom. Moisture will clog it up and always put the nozzle cap immediately when done. I personally store it on my bedroom. * Patchy spots when spraying. Either it's too near your scalp or you pressing it too hard. Best way fix is to use a hairbrush in a circular fashion and brush as usual. It's gone afterwards. * To lock it in place especially in summer, hair spray works well. Reply here if you have any tips to add.

Really good and the difference in usage with this and without is enormous. Big plus good product
