A Very Good Product
We bought a new "water miser" dishwasher 3 years ago when we replaced all of our major appliances as part of our home remodel. We bought a Bosch based on online reviews and a Consumer Report rating. The problem with these water efficient dishwashers is the filters becoming dirty more often than the old intensive water using dishwashers. This was disappointing for us as this was not a cheap dishwasher. We kept recalling how well our 30-35 year old dishwasher cleaned everything we put into it. We had been cleaning the filter about every 3-4 weeks. Film began forming after a few washes. We found a few pieces of silverware that didn't get fully clean when the dishwasher was quite full. The heavy duty setting did not make a difference with the increasing film on our glasses. The pre-wash container on our washer only accepts liquid and what we were using was not improving the thoroughness of the wash. When we use this product we fill about 1/4 to of the detergent container with Cascade and then fill about 1/4 more with this product. We filled it completely and put the dishwasher through one cycle while empty. The film on all the surfaces of the dishwasher was cleaned off with this one cycle. After a couple of months using this product all the film on our glasses was gone. We have had far fewer (1-2) instances of silverware not being completely clean and it has involved spoons that stick together. This product has enabled our new dishwasher to clean as well as the old one. The squeaky clean feeling of the glasses and dishes has returned. The new water saving dishwashers don't clean as well as the water hogs. Considering the drought in the western U.S. we have to use less water. Use this product in your dishwashers if you use a new water saving model or if your old dishwasher doesn't clean well. It will make a significant difference and you will be pleased.

Product is great but I only received one bottle
The description says 12 bottles for $27.10. I only received one bottle. I see other customers have had the same issue. Someone filling the orders isn’t doing a very good job at Amazon. I contacted customer service and they are supposed to be sending out a replacement order with the 12 bottles in it. I told the customer service representative I hope they send the correct amount this time. His response was “don’t worry”. Well I am worried! I’m not paying $27.10 for one bottle. That’s just crazy!!! I will believe it when I see it. I will update my review once the reorder comes in. That part of the review was on Amazons fulfillment of the order properly. The product itself works great. I have been using it in my dishwasher for probably 15 years. I put a tablespoon of it in with a tablespoon of powdered detergent in the dispenser cup and my dishes come out sparkling. No more hard water stains. Plus the inside of my dishwasher is always clean. I highly recommend this to everyone I know.Update….the reorder was also only one bottle. Do not order this from Amazon. Unfortunately they can’t send out the right amount in the order. I got a refund and will not be purchasing this again.

Lemi Shine really works
The media could not be loaded. We have lived in Burbank and Glendale, CA for many years and unfortunately everywhere we've lived we've dealt with REALLY hard water. When I say REALLY hard, I'm not exaggerating. Hard water is generally considered anything over 180 ppm (on the mg/L scale). Here in Glendale, we average between 200 and 500 ppm depending on how far you are from the treatment plant. We had tried pretty much every additive available in our Hotpoint HDA3400 dishwasher. We started by doing the manufacturer recommended rinses and then moved onto trying vinegar and cleaning the machine with CLR. That helped a little bit, but really didn't improve it enough. For those of you like us, we had resorted to hand washing dishes with steel wool to try to scrape all of the mineral deposits off of our dishware. I was beginning to investigate inline water softeners that could be installed under the sink, but we have a fairly small kitchen and loosing more storage space to hardware like that wasn't something that I was looking forward to doing.I found a review of Lemi Shine on a pinterest post where someone said it really worked for them. Being a big fan of the scientific method, I figured I would try a little experiment. I loaded up the dishwasher and used our normal powdered Cascade and ran it. As expected everything came out with a fine film just like it always did. Without moving anything, I followed the Lemi Shine instructions and added it to the main closed detergent cup and added our normal Cascade powder to the open detergent cup. I ran the same cycle I had prior and I was simply shocked by the nearly flawless results. Don't waste your time or money on super expensive under sink softeners. If all you want are clean dishes, look no further. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I added a before and after image of our glasses.
