I was really hoping that this would work for my birding/sports videography work on my FX3 but the mounting screw slot on the viewfinder is about 3/16" too short to mount it to the camera. Another issue is that the mounting bracket partially obscures the cooling fan vent. as I wasn't able to use it I do not know how much this impaired the cooling efficiency. Too bad, this viewfinder has many nice features that I won't be able to take advantage of.

Good quality but heavy and not practical to use.

I found this item bulky, cheep, and didn't fit well.

Very cheaply made and not working from the beginning. The mounting plate does not work with the part that attaches the eyepiece. Feels like dollar store bargain bin material at best. It is a complete disappointment.

Without a battery grip, this works great. But the adjustable side rails are not long enough to work with my battery grip. So I’m going to be sending it back.

Sketchy instructions were a little confusing at first but once that was solved this viewfinder works very well on a Pentax K-01 mirrorless camera. It is almost impossible to accurately focus using the LCD screen when in bright sunlight and this is a great solution. I will keep this on my mirrorless camera at all times.

Ok! It's not a 400$ model but it does the job! I can now see if I have focus while using LIVE VIEW on DSLR when using IR filters on my lens. The eye cup is big enough to allow me to keep my glasses on. And I can see all of my camera controls. Happy with my purchase.

I bought this viewfinder a decade ago from the original manufacturer. When it was damaged earlier last year, I found the product was no longer unavailable, which was very disappointing as this is one of the most often used camera accessories I’ve ever purchased. I was pleasantly surprised that Starbea has exactly copied the design and improved the tripod mounting bracket. This viewfinder is very useful for blocking the sun from the LCD monitor on the back of the camera. If hand holding the camera, by pressing the eye cup against the face and holding the camera with both elbows tucked in, the three points of contact keep the camera quite steady.
