I had a discectomy (a partial removal of a bulging spinal disk) and needed a back brace. The hospital was going to charge $800 (out-of-pocket) for a brace, but I was able to purchase this one and saved a few hundred dollars. Ask your doctor about the medical product number during your pre-op appointment to confirm that this is the same brace and will work for you. Besides that, it's pretty adjustable and I didn't mind wearing it for 3 weeks while I was up and about. It really helped with my posture and helped to prevent me from slouching. It also helped to prevent me from rounding my back and lifting with poor form (which is how I injured my back in the first place) and seemed to reduce the strain when bending over slightly. As far as quality goes, I didn't have any issues with the velcro (it still sticks well) and the brace seems to be well built.

A friend of mine hurt her back a few years ago and was using a different type of back support. It was cheaply made and just wasn't helping her like it was supposed to. So I did a search and found this design. Of course Amazon had them. The price was a bit steep in my opinion but you're buying a quality back brace. She reported back to me that within a day of using it her back pain was almost entirely gone. She was able to walk long distances and move normally for the first time in years. I consider that improvement in her quality of life to be well worth the cost of the brace.

For the price this was excellent to help post car accident. I used this for a compound fracture vertebrae in my L1. It helped give me a lot of lumbar support, but it isn't meant for such an injury. It was convenient, but I would recommend using an appropriate corset type pull brace (hundreds $) or some horrible metal contraption (1000+$) for broken injuries. I've enjoyed it for myself and am still wearing it sporadically 8 weeks post injury. Going in for a follow up xray will likely update this to 5 stars if it actually worked.

I'm only giving 3 stars because its not adjustable to height is not adjustable. I'm taller than most and it dust support where I needed it. Other than that, it's quality and durability has no equal on the market right now. It's fully adjustable with velcro straps and inserts to fill. It truly was amazing only wish the had a bigger size.

I suffer from stenosis and scoliosis, and this back brace supports my back when standing. It doesn't eliminate my pain, but it does help keep it from getting worse. I would like to address the sizing: It says it fits 25-48" when measured around the belly button. I am 49" and I was concerned that it would not fit. So, I looked on the actual Comfyorthopedic website for this same product and they stated that it would fit 25-55". Based on that information, I felt assured enough to go ahead and order it. And that information was indeed correct. I used the adjustable sizing where the 3XL goes inside the flap and 2XL shows outside - see picture. So, another inch or two could be accommodated by the belt. The two large velcro circles on the front completely overlap for a secure fit. I would like to see more sturdy adjustable side straps than the thin drawstrings, but I realize that it needs to be thin enough to go around the internal studs. It is very bulky if all the included options are used, so probably not for smaller people. It is a one size fits all - adjustable to fit the waist but the overall bulk is the same. This is similar to the Medtronic back brace which I was prescribed in the past. It seems very sturdy.

Love this product. I would buy it again. Whenever my lower back feels sore I put it on and it’s an amazing how fast this works to relieve pain.

I've had back braces since a spinal fusion in 2019. My last brace was falling apart, so I got a referral to get a new one. The one that I was supposed to get through my insurance cost over $900. My copay was going to be $193. I checked Amazon and found this brace. It is almost exactly the same. And it was only $150. I've been using it for almost a week and I'm very pleased with it.

Better than my other back brace only thing is it's runs smaller to expand up to 2xl but needed to set at 4xl for it to fit as 2xl would, other than that the pull cord give nice support and although costly would not recommend this product broke after 1 week of use the Velcro no longer holds waste of money buying this, if only they had used better Velcro this product could of been amazing instead it's an avoid.

I could not walk because of pain... I don't kniw what I could without it. Highly recommended

I just bought this item. It came today. It came used stained and full of hairs. It’s unacceptable for the price that I had to pay for it to be in that condition.
